Sync Book Radio

I've just reworked and updated the layout and archiving for Sync Book Radio. I can't believe how quickly this turned into something so big and so fantastic. These projects, like so many I get involved in, have snowballed beyond my original vision--they're more time consuming to produce than I first assumed but also of such a better quality than I expected either.

There are two show each week: 42 Minutes every Tuesday and Always Record every Thursday.

42 Minutes is hosted by Will Morgan (A Few Shots to Shaman) and Douglas Bolles (Winter's Labyrinth). The show has been going strong for almost exactly one full year. In that time, there have been amazing conversations and great guests:

10.02.12 Sibyl Hunter
09.25.12 Greenroom Mix: Jake Kotze, Jon Kidd, Joe Alexander
09.18.12 Neil Kramer
09.12.12 Joe Alexander
09.04.12 Frank Albo
08.21.12 Jake Kotze
08.14.12 Andras Jones & Will Morgan
08.09.12 Frank Zero (Cosmic Comics)
07.31.12 Loren Coleman
07.24.12 Episode 42: The Sync Cabin
07.10.12 Frater X
07.03.12 Jeffrey Kripal

01.31.12 Jason Barrera (Eleleth)
01.31.12 Kevin Halcott & Alan Abbadessa-Green
01.24.12 Joe Alexander
01.17.12 Toure
01.10.12 Neil Kramer
12.20.11 Stefan Jablonski
12.13.11 Chris Myers
12.06.11 Justin Morgan
11.29.11 Jeremy (Violat0r)
11.22.11 Jake Kotze & Jim Sanders
11.15.11 Alan Abbadessa-Green
11.08.11 Kevin Halcott & Tommy Fulks

Then we started Always Record back in May when Bill Klaus (iahuasca) proposed the idea of recording some roundtable conversations. David Plate (MKUltrasound) joined us and the three of us started having a conversation each week. Even as I struggle to find the time to do it, this has turned into a wonderful ritual that I look forward to all week long.

At some point we started having other people join us, each adding their unique take. So far we've had the pleasure of talking to:

Freeman of FreemanTV
Project Psycube (Violator Hellspawn, Frank Zero, and Trevor Tocco)
Douglas Bolles
Jason Barrera (Eleleth)
Justin Morgan
Maya Alexis
Andras Jones
Will Morgan
Tommy Fulks
John Fell Ryan
Mark LeClair (Wrong Way Wizard)

We put a ton of work into this, but it's so worth it. I think you'll enjoy listening as much as we enjoy doing these. Please dig into the archives:

Talk is Cheap

In the last week and a half I have had the pleasure of talking to so many great minds and having some amazing conversations.

Here's a quick sampling:
I've been trying to keep an archive of the shows I'm on and things like that, but it was getting a little unwieldy. So, I've had a little side project going on the back burner to make an archive that's more user friendly. After all these shows this week, I figured it was time to turn up the heat before it gets even harder to keep up with. It's now ready, and anyone interested in such an archive can hop on over to: http://audiocreatures.blogspot.com/

I guess I should explain that roundtable a second. Recently, Bill Klaus asked me if I would be interested in helping to create a new audio series that was more conversation based, instead of the classic interview style that so many podcasts and radio shows use. Since he and I had both had conversations with David Plate that were so good that we wished we had recorded them, we're tentatively calling this thing "Always Record."
http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/120495
The talking is loose and unpretentious. Though there is a lot of Kubrick, the topics are varied. And, ultimately, I think many of you will find this enjoyable. Click here to enter: http://www.talkshoe.com/tc/120495

There were other conversations this week that were not recorded...

I spoke to Michael from Gosporn and every time I speak to him I have that same "man, I wish I recorded this" impulse. He told me about connections he made between Watchmen and the second volume of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that were super solid. As everything has lately, it found a way of coming back to Kubrick. I wonder why Kubrick is surging so strongly in the sync community right now?

There's another ongoing conversation that I am reluctant to write about publicly. Suffice to say, there's some drama between two players in the sync community and I was kinda called in to moderate, but I found a lot of it disappointing and immature. There is a silver lining however. While I've never been a big 2012 guy, it is in these conversations, where people can't help but project their shadows and refuse to take responsibility, that I see part of the value of 2012 as a concept. With a quasi-deadline in the conversation, you get a sense of what is really important to those people who see it as an important date--particularly when there's conflict in the mix. All I know is that I'm getting more and more cautious of the many gurus preaching a 2012 shift who aren't willing to do some of the hard work here on the ground.

As a guy who is doing so much talking lately, I understand that talk is cheap. I don't want your words, I want your action. And all of us, no matter who we think we are, we have some serious work to do.

God The Dyslexic Dog

On Saturday, I spoke with Brian Phillipson about his book "God The Dyslexic Dog" - and a bunch of other concepts that we've been looking at recently. It was actually an incredibly timely interview.

Click here to listen, and don't forget to subscribe to the podcast RSS feed (iTunes etc). It took me a while to get that all set up - so please take advantage of those.

This should hold you guys over while I keep hacking away at the forthcoming post dealing with the fallout from everything we laid out in the last one. If you can't wait, and want to dive right in, do yourselves a favor and check out the two newest articles at Mask of God.

MoCCA and Mabus

This was a wild weekend for me. Considering these were the same three days that The Book of The Law was written, I guess that should be expected.

+
I spent friday at the pre-party for the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) where I met some amazing artists, including Kenly Dillard who asked me to come up with a random thing for him to draw. I said "a monkey and a dog," thinking of two of the main characters from Look At All The Happy Creatures, but not explaining that in any way. Here's what Kenly drew:

Kenly draws caricatures and portraits, echoing an episode of Sailor Moon that I saw a few days ago. This episode was powerful to me for so many reasons. It questions what makes an artist and portrays the struggle to stay true to oneself. It also delves into mirrors and dreams (which is the theme of the entire SuperS season). These themes resonate so strongly with me these days and I am not alone on this. Michael from Gosporn put up a post recently about the dreaming man in the mirror.

On Saturday I attended the MoCCA main event and was surrounded by some of the greatest and most original artwork I have ever seen. Very inspirational. I also had the chance to sell a bunch of copies of Look At All The Happy Creatures and got some really positive feedback. Also very inspirational.

I saw a girl there wearing a shirt with a unicursal hexagram (widely used by Crowley) on it. When I commented on the shirt, she said she made it herself. Shorly after that encounter I got a phonecall from Kevin of Live from The Logosphere, who is very into Crowley.

Later that night, I was the second hour guest on The Church Of Mabus Radio Show, with ufologist Tim Beckley as the first hour guest. This one was a lot of fun. I did the interview outside the MoCCA after-party with drunk people coming up to me throughout. Apparently I can hold drunken men steady, light their cigarettes and chat about the cosmos at the same time.

We spoke about many of the items I came to find waiting for me in the latest post from The Mask of God. So many wild and weightly syncs between my weekend, that interview and that post. Great stuff.

+
On Sunday I spent the day catching up with family which was really nice. Then at night Melissa and I went over to Radio City where I knew Charlie Sheen was wrapping up his New York tour of his "Violent Torpedo of Truth" one-man show. I had one copy of the book left and I thought I should give it to him since I feel his recent adventures echo some specific plot points in my novel. From Chapter 33 of LAATHC:

They had gotten him addicted to the filthiest synthetic pain killers which made his behavior even more erratic. The massive amounts of antibiotics injected into him to keep his wrists from getting infected played havoc on his stomach. He was always nauseous and, when he could keep the disgusting food down, it quickly passed through him in a stream of diarrhea. His body was weak, but wild – his mind even more so....He had to be made to look a fool in the eyes of the public. This was necessary as a way of signaling to the watching world that one would have to be insane in order to oppose The State. Besides, The Network could afford to knock the celebrity of one of their performers, now that they had a genuine super-star on their hands.

Of course, when Charlie exited the theatre he was swarmed by paparazzi and I couldn't get near him. After that I was kicking myself for not chucking the book at his head, since that would have been captured by every camera there and it would have played in an endless viral loop, making my book sales off the charts (or at least, on the charts). Talk about a "violent torpedo of truth." But, I didn't do it. I guess I'm not that much of a whore. Gonna have to go back and watch that Sailor Moon episode again.

Interviewed on Dr. Kevin Barrett's Truth Jihad Radio Show

Yesterday I was on Dr. Kevin Barrett's radio show. We talked about the book, conspiracy, synchronicity, consciousness, and how we can manifest our own new world order. Click here to listen.

UPDATE:
Another one of the topics discussed was the possibility of an Obama assassination, staged or provoked, and what the fallout from an event like that would mean for the rest of us. So when this news item popped up the other day, it made me do a double-take. "House votes to Kill Obama"

Walking the Independent Road with Peter Palmiotti

Last night I was interviewed on Peter Palmiotti's podcast.
We discussed the symbolism and synchronicity of Squares That Touch, the background of Look At All The Happy Creatures, 2012, psychedelics, the nature of art and reality, the power of individual perspective, and took chatroom questions that focused on conspiracies and solutions.

It's A Bird, It's A Plane...no, you idiot, It's Superman

I've been experiencing so many obastacles to my posting here, but I just want to throw this out real quick as a sort of sync log.
Last week I took 3 DVDs out of the library: Grant Morrison's "Talking With Gods", The Birds, and Metropolis. I suppose the unintended Superman theme could have been there subconciously, but it was definantely unintentional.
Grant Morrison is a comic book writer who has worked on Superman and the Justice League(remember, we had connected Justice League [JL] to Jared "Loner" a few posts back).
I had wanted to find the original Birds movie ever since the "dead birds" thing started around New Years.
In the movie, we get mentions of such familiar themes as:
Lunar Eclipse, Ring of Fire, and even an explicit mention of a woman getting shot in the head!!!
The main character runs into a telephone booth to hide from the birds (ala Superman) and makes a reference to "The Hall of Justice"
**The same main character is accused by the townsfolk of having brought the bird plague upon them with her slutty nature....See Whore of Babylon.
Then, in Metropolis, (which is the name of the city Superman protects), they make explicit overt references to the Whore of Babylon. And of course, we have the uprising/revolution theme.
And, the robot, who is the Whore of Babylon, is called "The Machine Man" (which is directly connected to the 2001 Monolith, Osiris and Xanadu via Jack Kirby)
Point is, these themes are still resonating big time.
---
On anothe note, the Sapphire has come back into my personal syncweb. Melissa and I have been watching the old SailorMoon anime from episode one and the character Blue Saphir was just introduced. Get this, he's a prince of the "Dark Moon clan."
Now, I just heard Jake Kotze mention SailorMoon in a conversation with Will Morgan that took place over a year ago. Too funny.
Will has just sent me some audio files that I'm going to host on AllTheHappyCreatures.com
These are convos he's had and recorded over the last year with assorted g8ors and was looking for a way of putting them out there. I am happy to serve as a conduit because these are great conversations full of knowledge.
I just put the first one up (Will and Jake 01/28/2010) and you can listen to it HERE.
It's over a year old and still just as fresh and relevant as the day it was recorded.

King Donkey Kong and the Twin Towers return with a Bang

Before we begin, I'd recommend listening to the Syncromystic Roundtable that went down the other night, hosted by Kevin Tinfoil. Speakers include Jake Kotze, Kevin Halcott, Will Morgan, myself in the second hour, and a bunch of others. The show comes in at exactly 3 hours and 14 minutes, resonating Pi, and brings up many of the topics we're going to discuss today.

Since we've been talking about Big Bangs over the last few posts, let's start with today's newspaper. 44 years after JFK was shot, we get this story of a big "bang" at JFK airport.

Then there's this collage I made which visually ties together the 44th president and the big-bang-generating CERN, along with the anti-matter they created and the SyncWhole's look at the return of the Ring.

This is a play on "Return of the King" from Lord of the Rings, and it seems that a King of sorts is returning. Namely King Kong. Remember, that series also included The Two Towers, which seem to be intricately tied into this pattern.

In the Roundtable, Will brings up syncs revolving around Jeff Bridges and King Kong and the Twin Towers, as they tie into 9/11. He then relates this to the 9/11 connections that have been found in the Super Mario Brothers movie.
I made the point that Mario made his debut fighting Donkey Kong, a King Kong resonator if there ever was one.
The very next day, as I'm reading a story about the Moon, which itself seems to always pop up in connection with the Twin Towers, I see this ad at the top of the screen.
The idea of Donkey Kong being connected to falling towers, is made all the more clear by this Jenga set:
And let us not forget that while we just had a new blue moon, we also had a new blue moon goddess, in the story of the sapphire ring.
Even Spider-Man, whose movie was edited to take out a scene where he spins a web between the Two Towers, peeks at us from the top of the paper. I find this even more interesting, since our roundtable conversation spoke of "The Sync Web" being connected to "Cloud Computing" and Melissa had just told me that day that the Japanese word for "Spider" is the same as "Cloud." To push that thought a step further, the Greek myth of Arachne also involves Athena spinning a beautiful tapestry out of "the silk of the clouds" before she turns Arachne into a Spider. Hmm.

The night after the roundtable, I get into an email conversation with Michael from Gosporn, where we talk about Back to the Future and Rainbow Bridges and all the fun stuff syncheads talk about. He sent me a picture of from a coffee shop, that he thought went well with the K2 "tear in the fabric of space" cartoon from my post K2 SyncStorm goes Pop! - the same post that featured my grandfather's helmet from the construction of the World Trade Center (which I later realized reads CIA):
And also connected King Kong to Pi, through this poster with the address 227:
Something about the image he sent me reminded me of a photo I took last April. I dug through my old photos to find it:
I guess I took the picture because it had a bunch of circumpuncts and pointed stars and the number 17. So, I send Michael the email, but then I realized that I used the metaphor of gears to relate to the SyncWeb or Cloud. I say, okay, maybe that was in my subconscious and move on with my night. Melissa and I decide to go out for dinner. We walk around and pass this poster:
Not only do the gears look the same, but the word "Toys" reminds me of the movie of the same title. The movie "Toys" has also been shown by Jake to have strange connections to the Twin Towers.
Oh, sorry to distract, but since we're talking of Toys, I should point out that Lego just put out its newest in the Atlantis line - something we've looked at before. As long as we're talking about 9/11 stargates, check out this "Portal to Atlantis" shaped like the Pentagon:
Anyway, gears right? As soon as we pass that Toys/Gears ad, we walk past this other poster:
We then go to one of our absolute favorite places to eat. A place appropriately named "Mario's" with a sign reading "Boom" outside:
Boom, being similar to "Bang" or "Pop" or even "Pow" - also happens to be the name of the realtor who brokers the property we are negotiating to open the Pointe of Symmetry Art Center. A realtor named "Boom" -> Big Bang to start Reality. :)

"Pow" also resonates with the Mario Bros, through their first Atari game:
This would be just fun, but then the kid at the table next to me starts playing Mario Kart and I see that he's racing across the Rainbow Bridge!
And what is he drinking but Pink soda Pop. Ha.
Hadn't I just been talking to Michael about both the Rainbow Bridge and the Pink energy of Green Lantern's "Star Sapphire" character? Not to mention the obvious POP! connection.

But what should flash on the TV at Mario's restaurant, but a commercial for a K2-resonating show called Kid VS Kat. The words "Kat to the Future" comes across the screen in the logo style of Back to the Future! I found the show on YouTube and it's filled with 88-resonant circled Hs and Green glowing lights, alien mushrooms and tons of other syncs.

Not to mention, that this is another Disney cartoon that shows Time Travel resulting in an authoritarian future, much like the one we looked at in Darkwing Duck.

Wiki tells us that this was Season 2, Episode 8. Giving us the two 8s or 88.
Original airdates: November 6, 2010 (Canada) / November 23, 2010 (U.S.A)

Bear in mind that, that very morning I woke up wanting a Milky Way candy bar like I've never wanted anything before. I went to a deli and bought one, but it was old and chalky. I went back and said to the guy, "I'm giving this back to you and taking something else." Melissa suggested a KitKat. From KitKat to Kid vs Kat. That's the kind of day I had.

It should also be noted that Melissa's name in Japanese is Mari and her last initial was "O" before we got married. I used to call her MariO after we started eating at that restaurant.
But now, her name is Melissa (meaning "Bee") Green. So she's now actually the Green Hornet, which also syncs with K2 or Kato.
There's another place in our neighborhood, also called Mario's and he makes no secret about his connection to Pi.

So the King/Ring and all that is making a return big time. What that means for us remains to be seen. But, based on the Back to the Future and King Kong syncs, I'd say we have to calm the beast inside of us, learn to not fly off the handle like Marty, and all that goodness. Otherwise we end up as monsters.
This is the video I made a bit back, mentioned in the roundtable, which connects Saddam to Mario and teaches us that very lesson:
