Man stops a rape in progress

This is Taylor O'Neill. Katherine Lam reports at Fox News that Taylor
told FOX11 LA he was heading to work around 4:30 p.m. Monday when he drove down an alleyway in Santa Ana, but couldn’t get past a pickup truck that was blocking the road. O’Neill said he honked the horn, but the truck didn’t move, prompting him to get out of his vehicle to confront the driver.

"When I tapped on the window [a woman] looked up and I could see the duct tape on her face and the fear in her eyes," O'Neill said.

"As soon as I walked up, knocked on the window, she had her mouth duct tapped and he was on he was on top of her in the passenger seat,” O’Neill told the 911 operator.

Police arrived and arrested Jorge Alejandro Cruz De Armas, 27, who had earlier offered the woman a ride to a Wells Fargo. Instead of heading to the bank, De Armas allegedly stopped at the alleyway and began attacking the woman after she refused to have sex with him. He began choking the woman and duct-taped her mouth to prevent her screams from being heard — until O’Neill interrupted the alleged assault, police said.

The woman jumped out of the pickup truck and De Armas sped away, police said. But O’Neill had his phone in his hand and snapped photos of the license plate.

"I had my phone in my left hand and I was able to open up my camera and take photos of his license plate as he drove off and I immediately called 911,” O’Neill recalled.

Police traced the license plate number and arrested De Armas on several charges, including assault with intent to commit rape. Authorities said they believe there were more victims and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Slipping across our porous border five times

Bob Price reports at Breitbart about Tommy Vladim Alvarado-Ventura.

Above is Tommy's mugshot from the Nassau County Jail in New York. He is an
MS-13 gang member from El Salvador is facing a possible life sentence after allegedly raping a 2-year-old girl, stabbing her mother, and stabbing another woman.

The incident reportedly began when Alvarado-Ventura got into an argument with a woman over a marijuana deal. The argument spilled over into the parking lot where he allegedly stabbed her. She suffered a collapsed lung. Officials have not released her name.

After stabbing the woman, the MS-13 gang member returned to an apartment where the two-year-old girl lived with her mother. The mother was at work at the time, acting Nassau County Police Commissioner Thomas Krumpter told reporters.

At that point, he allegedly sexually assaulted the little girl before the mother returned home. When she arrived at the apartment and discovered her daughter’s condition, an argument broke out, and Alvarado-Ventura stabbed her. She managed to barricade herself in another part of the apartment and called the police for help.

Doctors examined the two-year-old little girl and confirmed she had been sexually assaulted.

Officials stated that Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers deported Alvarado-Ventura to his home country of El Salvador four times over a five-year period ending in 2011. There is no record of when he returned to the U.S. following his fourth deportation.

His criminal history includes charges of drunk driving, assault, false impersonation, and contempt of court.

He now faces charges of predatory sexual assault of a child, attempted murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon, officials reported.

Who are the victims?

Bookworm has some things to say about the illegal alien rapists in Maryland, and the sociopaths in that state's school system and legislature
Since you all are hungry for news and keep abreast of things, you already know about the two young men who, despite being 17 and 18, and despite being manifestly in this country illegally, got enrolled as freshman at Rockville High School in Maryland. And you know that they dragged a 14-year-old girl into the restroom and brutally raped her. You may also know that the MSM has assiduously ignored this story, which doesn’t fit with the narrative of “illegal aliens as victims.” (I’m tired of calling them “immigrants.” It implies a legitimate journey to a new world. They’re aliens here.)

But did you know that the school superintendent for the Rockville High School district responded to the incident by defending allowing illegal immigrants into Maryland schools? That is, he defended allowing people who waltzed into this country on their own recognizance, without any government oversight, to just walk into an American high school.

Were he not so wrapped up in his cloud of Leftist self-righteousness, the superintendent might have noticed something that Ann Coulter had the bravery to call out, which is that people who come from backward agrarian societies have a propensity to commit child rape. They’re not as bad as those Muslims who accept the Imam’s dictums that all females are rape-worthy if they’re not locked away or outfitted in tents, but they’re more likely to do it than the average American. (And no, I’m not calling all illegal aliens rapists. But I am saying they have a cultural propensity and I’m not backing down from that fact.) As someone said, we shouldn’t be inviting people into our country who have to be taught after they arrive not to rape.

To me, that superintendent is a sociopath, putting his selfish emotional need for virtue signaling ahead of the needs of America’s children. He’s not the only one, though.

The entire Maryland legislature seems to be a haven for sociopaths. In the wake of the rape, the legislature passed a bill announcing that it is now a sanctuary state. I hope that Trump moves hard and fast to defund every single sanctuary city, state, or county in America. He’s already waited too long in my humble estimation.

Two illegal immigrants charged with raping a girl in sanctuary county in Maryland

Sundance has the story of a horrific rape in a Montgomery, Maryland school. Two males, ages 17 and 18, have been arrested in the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl. One of the males was from El Salvador, and the other was from Guatemala.
Montgomery County Maryland is a sanctuary county where U.S. immigration laws are intentionally not enforced by the local public officials.

Criticizing Trump, then raping an illegal alien

sundance reports at Conservative Treehouse,
You might remember a Hispanic political activist named Tony Yapias, who was extremely critical of Donald Trump’s assertion that some illegal Mexican aliens were rapists.

This week Tony Yapias has been arrested for rape. However, not only was Yapias arrested for rape – his victim was, …wait for it…, yep, an illegal alien.

Yes, it appears Mexican rapist Tony Yapias felt additionally empowered by the fact his victim was less likely to be able to contact law enforcement.

Grabbed at knifepoint

Robert Spencer writes in Front Page Magazine,
...a five-year-old girl in Twin Falls, Idaho, was gang-raped by three young Muslim migrant boys. Her parents are still encountering tremendous difficulties in trying to get justice -- apparently because the incident conflicts with Barack Obama’s agenda to flood the country with Muslim migrants.

The victim’s mother told Pamela Geller what the little girl told her: “This is what my daughter has told me: that they grabbed her at knifepoint and forced her into the laundry room and told her that if she tried to leave, they would kill her. The seven-year-old boy took her clothes off. She tells me he put his private in her mouth and peed in her mouth, and put it in her private, and then peed all over her.”

According to Idaho law, that is rape: “Rape is defined as the penetration, however slight, of the oral, anal or vaginal opening with a penis…”

Spencer then brings up quotations from Islamic law and culture, and concludes,
The savage exploitation of girls and young women is, unfortunately, a cross-cultural phenomenon, but only in Islamic law does it carry divine sanction. And now it has come to Idaho.

How long before America experiences what Germany is experiencing?

Jazz Shaw at Hot Air links to a story in Daily Mail about life in one refugee camp in Germany.
Yesterday, the Mail reported how social workers and women’s groups in Giessen wrote a letter to the local state parliament claiming that rape and child abuse were rife in the refugee camp. The allegations were corroborated by Atif over his curry. ‘The camp is dangerous,’ he agreed. ‘Men of different nationalities fight and women are attacked.’

Many women have felt the need to sleep in their clothes… they won’t go to the toilet at night because rapes and assaults have taken place on their way to, or from, there.

The letter says the camp, far from being a peaceful haven for those fleeing war, is a dangerous melting-pot, where there have been ‘numerous rapes and sexual assaults, and forced prostitution’.

There are even reports of children being raped and subjected to sexual assault, it adds.

‘Many women have felt the need to sleep in their clothes... they won’t go to the toilet at night because rapes and assaults have taken place on their way to, or from, there. Even in daylight, a walk through the camp is fraught with fear.’

Controversially, the letter suggests that in the migrants’ culture, women are viewed differently: ‘It is a fact that women and children are unprotected. This situation is opportune for those men who already regard women as their inferiors and treat unaccompanied women as “fair game”.’

Many migrant women have fled here to escape forced marriages or female genital mutilation, which are rife in some African and Middle Eastern countries. ‘They believe they have found safety in Germany,’ says the letter, ‘and realise it’s not the case.’
Betsy's Page adds, And German citizens are learning that they need to modify their own behavior to be safe in their communities.
In other parts of the country, Germans are being told to adapt their lifestyles when migrants arrive.

Police in the Bavarian town of Mering, where a 16-year-old girl was reportedly raped this month, have warned parents not to allow their children outside unaccompanied.

Girls and women have been told not to walk home alone from the railway station because it is near a migrant centre where the rapist may live.

At Pocking, another well-kept Bavarian town, the headmaster of the grammar school wrote to parents telling them not to let their daughters wear skimpy clothing. This was to avoid ‘misunderstandings’ with 200 migrants who were put up in the school’s gymnasium over the summer, before being moved on this month.
The letter to parents said the migrants were ‘mainly Muslim, and speak Arabic. They have their own culture. Because our school is directly next to where they are staying, modest clothing should be warn... revealing tops or blouses, short skirts or miniskirts could lead to misunderstandings.’
Betsy Newmark asks,
How are we going to vet the immigrants that President Obama has said the United States will take? It sounds like an impossible task? As Shaw writes,

Who could have predicted all of this? Pretty much anyone who wasn’t caught up in the fairy tale. But we’re still on track to take in tens of thousands ourselves here in the United States of Barack Obama and John Kerry get their way. Keep an eye on Germany in the weeks and months to come. That’s going to be happening over here, and probably sooner rather than later.

Raping their way across Germany

Of the 411,567 refugees/migrants who have entered the EU by sea so far this year, 72% have been male. Above, some of the hundreds of migrants who arrived in Munich on September 12, 2015.

Soeren Kern writes at Gatestone Institute,
The problem of rapes and sexual assaults in German refugee shelters is a nationwide problem.

In Bavaria, women and girls housed at a refugee shelter in Bayernkaserne, a former military base in Munich, are subject to rape and forced prostitution on a daily basis, according to women's rights groups. Although the facility has separate dorm rooms for women, the doors cannot be locked and men control access to the sanitary facilities.

Approximately 80% of the refugees/migrants at the shelter are male, according to Bavarian Broadcasting (Bayerischer Rundfunk), which reports that the price for sex with female asylum seekers is ten euros. A social worker described the facility this way: "We are the biggest brothel in Munich."

Police insist they have no proof that the rapes are taking place, although a police raid on the facility found that guards hired to provide security at the site were trafficking drugs and weapons and were turning a blind eye to the prostitution.

Meanwhile, the raping of German women by asylum seekers is becoming commonplace.

All in a days work for ISIS: chemical weapons, rape, sex slaves

What's going on with ISIS? Bridget Johnson reports at PJ Media,
The Islamic State was confirmed to have used chemical weapons against Kurds this week.

...Last month ISIS attacked Peshmerga with agents “consistent with a chlorine chemical” — Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapon of choice after the Obama administration claimed they successfully liquidated the dictator’s stockpile.

The New York Times reported then that ISIS was manufacturing tainted shells with “toxic industrial or agricultural chemicals repurposed as weapons.”

In May, the Organisation for the Prohibition and Chemical Weapons inspectors found traces of sarin and VX nerve agent at a military research site in Syria that was not declared as a chemical weapons storage or production facility.

Meanwhile, Rick Moran reports at PJ Media,
Just when you think the Islamic State can’t do anything that would outrage civilized humanity any more than we already are, along comes this story in the New York Times that goes into excruciating detail about how rape is being used to recruit ISIS members and the twisted justification for it that ISIS says comes directly from the Koran.

The report also details how the sex-slave market works — its bureaucracy, its logistics, and its organization.

What constitutes sexual assault?

The News Junkie at Maggie's Farm writes about the confusion surrounding the term "sexual assault."
If touching is assault then I have been assaulted by hundreds of women who have amiably touched my arm in conversation, and hundreds of men who have given me pats on the back. On a few occasions I have even had the experience of women tentatively touching me under the table and, for a guy, that is difficult to resist but it is not sexual assault.

Rape is violent, forceful assault with sexual intent. It is a felony. It is not equivalent to hand-holding, to a touch, or to a try for a good-night kiss on the porch. Equating normal social behavior with assault can only trivialize the reality of true assault.

Why don't liberals care about the rape allegations against Bill Clinton?

Matt Walsh writes about rape, Bill Clinton, and Bill Cosby:
It’s got nothing to do with rape, really. Liberals don’t care that Cosby raped someone (allegedly) because if they did they’d care that Clinton raped someone (allegedly). What they care about is the opportunity to finally avenge their politically correct sensibilities, after Cosby spent several years audaciously telling black people to be accountable for their actions and stop blaming the white man for everything. If he’d never exposed himself as an apostate of the Church of Liberalism, and instead stuck to Clinton’s strategy of exposing himself to White House volunteers, we wouldn’t be having this conversation. Liberals have seized on the opportunity not to discuss rape itself, but to prove that Cosby’s thoughts on race are illegitimate because some women accused him of it. I’m not quite sure what one has to do with the other, but this is logic only accessible to those inside the Church of Liberalism.

Liberalism doesn’t care about rape. Rape is a convenient way to prove a point sometimes, that’s all. Rape is an insidious, morally outrageous act of violence, but Liberalism doesn’t necessarily condemn things just because they’re insidious, morally outrageous acts of violence (see: abortion). It condemns those acts when they’re committed by heretics and traitors to their cause, but rarely otherwise.

Why do feminists never stop writing about rape?

Have you noticed that feminists never quit writing about rape? Ace of Spades thinks he knows why that is:
You may wonder why feminists never stop writing about rape.

The answer is simple: Minus rape, feminism stands exposed as a trivial lists of complaints -- women not "empowered" enough in TV shows, Liz Lemon selling out the sisterhood on 30 Rock, Negative Body Image You Guys in the media, etc.

Minus rape, feminism is rather too obviously a list of trivial complaints by comfortable yet hysterical semi-affluent white women.

So they always are struggling to bring rape up as a topic, because it's obviously more serious than the six millionth whine that Men Expect Too Much Regarding Make-Up and Beauty Myth You Guys.

And that's it. It's the "serious" veneer slapped upon a very silly and trivial channeling of personal anxieties and hysterias into an alleged "politics."

Nature, nurture, and brains programming themselves

Can a rapist be taught not to rape? Sarah Hoyt tackles the subject in one of the longest paragraphs I have read in a while:
And because some of the idiots read this blog, no, I’m not saying rape is natural to all males. That is the other side’s #yesallmen crazy ass contention. I’m just saying that rape is a “natural” thing, preceding from the fact humans are partly animals, or if you prefer, built on an animal framework. The fact that most males DON’T rape, and would be rendered impotent at the IDEA of raping is a mark of how far we’ve come. Most males don’t even need to be taught not to rape, though of course, if you teach your little boy not to hurt others, you’re teaching them not to rape. But you can’t teach the men who are inclined to rape NOT to rape, anymore than you can teach a leftist not to spout tripe. For the slow of understanding or those who don’t live in the real world, or any academics reading this blog (but I repeat myself): We’re not all made alike. Humans are not widgets generated by a computer program. We’re creatures of flesh, blood and yes upbringing. In some of us something goes wrong. Whether the flesh, the blood, or the upbringing, who knows? It’s been debated for years. However, some humans will grow up to want to hurt others. If they’re not of a twisted enough nature to become Marxist-believing intellectuals, who seek ways to hurt others through laws, perverse theories and generally corrupting the mental space of humanity in order to gain power, they might choose the more direct and physical method of murder, robbery and rape. You could say they partly do this in the serene belief that the aforementioned Marxist-believing intellectuals will excuse him and lay their vile deeds at the feet of “capitalism” and traditional culture. Me? I think that this is too harsh on the Marx-believing intellectuals. Sometimes rapists and murderers and robbers simply do things because they want to, and would still do them even if the culture didn’t tell them that their crimes are societies fault and even if the aforementioned intellectuals had as much trouble telling a criminal from a victim as telling their arses from a hole in the ground.

But see, despite all the fights about nature and nurture, in the end, no one knows why anyone turns out the way he or she does. Oh, we can make guesses about early trauma and influential events. But that big computer between our ears, after a while programs itself. All the influence and education in the world can’t make someone into this or that. You can’t program kids (or adults) as if they were computers. Brave New World was not an Utopia and A Clockwork Orange is not an instruction manual.

No, if you really have a need to be out after dark in areas that aren’t quite safe (and no area is perfectly safe. Ever.) you make sure you’re armed or otherwise protected (I have at least one friend more lethal with her hands and feet than most people with a gun. Which doesn’t mean she doesn’t also carry a gun where allowed) you go armed. And you know how to defend yourself. Which is what adult human beings do to teach rapists not to rape (it’s a well known fact the recidivist rate of dead rapists is 0%.) For all other human beings, there is feminism. Which won’t keep them safe, but lets them feel really warm in the unearned superiority of their world view.

Men are oftern the victims of sexual assault, and women are often the perpetrators

Hannah Rosin reports that a new study reveals that men are often the victims of sexual assault, and that women are often the perpetrators. She writes,
Last year the National Crime Victimization Survey turned up a remarkable statistic. In asking 40,000 households about rape and sexual violence, the survey uncovered that 38 percent of incidents were against men.

The 2010 National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, for which the Centers for Disease Control invented a category of sexual violence called “being made to penetrate.” This definition includes victims who were forced to penetrate someone else with their own body parts, either by physical force or coercion, or when the victim was drunk or high or otherwise unable to consent. When those cases were taken into account, the rates of nonconsensual sexual contact basically equalized, with 1.270 million women and 1.267 million men claiming to be victims of sexual violence.

A recent analysis of Bureau of Justice Statistics data, for example, turned up that 46 percent of male victims reported a female perpetrator.

Prison inmates are not even counted in the general statistics.
In the last few years, the BJS did two studies in adult prisons, jails, and juvenile facilities. The surveys were excellent because they afforded lots of privacy and asked questions using very specific, informal, and graphic language. (“Did another inmate use physical force to make you give or receive a blow job?”) Those surveys turned up the opposite of what we generally think is true. Women were more likely to be abused by fellow female inmates, and men by guards, and many of those guards were female. For example, of juveniles reporting staff sexual misconduct, 89 percent were boys reporting abuse by a female staff member. In total, inmates reported an astronomical 900,000 incidents of sexual abuse.

Now the question is, in a climate when politicians and the media are finally paying attention to military and campus sexual assault, should these new findings alter our national conversation about rape? (Lara) Stemple is a longtime feminist who fully understands that men have historically used sexual violence to subjugate women and that in most countries they still do. As she sees it, feminism has fought long and hard to fight rape myths—that if a woman gets raped it’s somehow her fault, that she welcomed it in some way. But the same conversation needs to happen for men. By portraying sexual violence against men as aberrant, we prevent justice and compound the shame. And the conversation about men doesn’t need to shut down the one about women. “Compassion,” she says, “is not a finite resource.”
