Little Acts of Innocence…………………

Examples of Little acts of innocence which will touch your heart:

  • A four year old child, whose next door neighbour was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife.  Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old man’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there.  When his mother asked what he had said to the neighbour, the little boy just said: “Nothing, I helped him cry.”
    • Students, of class one in a school, were discussing a student’s family picture.  One little boy in the picture had a hair colour, different from the other family members.  One of the other students suggested that he was adopted.  A little girl said: “I know all about adoption.” “What does it mean to be adopted?” asked another child.  “It means, said the girl, that you grew in your mommy’s heart, instead of her tummy.”
    • Whenever I am disappointed with my life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.

Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play.  His mother told me that he’d set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.  On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school.  Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.  “Guess what, Mom,” he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me.. “I have been chosen to clap and cheer.”

    • A little boy, about 10 years old was standing before a shoe store on the road, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.  A lady approached the young boy and said: “My but you are in such deep thought staring in that window!” The boy replied: “I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes.”

The lady took him by the hand, went into the store and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy.  She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel.  He quickly brought them to her.  She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.

By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks.  Placing a pair upon the boy’s feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes.  She tied up the remaining pair of socks and gave them to him.  She patted him on the head and said, ‘No doubt, you will be more comfortable now.’

As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her: ‘Are you God’s Wife………..’

    Friendship…………………

    Friendship is the guiding light

    That guides us gently home

    That feel like quiet miracles

    The kind that steady us

    When life tilts off balance

There are people who show up

    Without needing to be asked

Who see us through the brave face we wear

And remind us we don’t have to carry

    Any burdens alone

    Their support isn’t loud

    Or grand, but constant

A gentle hand on our shoulder

A voice that says I’m here

In a world that so often

    Asks us to stand alone

    These friendships remind us

    That strength is also found

In leaning, in trusting, in being held

    Friendship becomes the guiding light

    That leads us gently home..

    The Art of Unhurried Living………………………..

Let us all make time to savor the simple

    Moments of life

Step outside and enjoy the beauty around us

Let your feet find its own rhythm

Notice the quiet conversations of birds

    Flying freely together with freedom

A slower pace asks for your presence

It invites you to feel the day unfolding

    Instead of racing past it

    In slowing down you begin

To hear your own thoughts more clearly

And sometimes the gentle hush beneath them

There is a richness in unhurried living

Where time becomes a place you love to stay

Evenings are the time you would like

To go for long walks with a friend or two

Talking or smiling at joggers who pass by

When you choose to slow down

    You create a wonderful space

Just for yourself for these moments

    To find in unhurried living…………………….

    Choose Less and Be Joyful………….

In a world that glorifies more and more

Let us all choose less and be joyful

Let your life be filled not with things

That does not play a great role in life

But with meaning – quiet mornings,

The laughter of someone you love

The first sip of hot and warm coffee

The beautiful rays of the sun

Giving its light and energy to everyone

    True wealth isn’t in possessions

But in the beauty of the ordinary

    Simplicity isn’t emptiness

It’s clarity, a life stripped of excess

    To reveal what truly matters

Slow down – breathe and notice

    The beauty and joy everywhere

Loving life in all its silent moments

    Carry peace in your heart

Joy and happiness isn’t something to chase

It’s already here, waiting to be seen………………………………..

    Tiny Happy Things………………..

An early sunshine through the window

Looking out at the pale blue sky

Birds flying free in the air

    Singing along with the radio

    Dancing to my favourite song

The first sip of hot, hot coffee

Oh! Feels so nice and pleasant

    Talking to my children

    Playing fun games with them

Starting a book to read and realizing

    I am loving it

Making a good lunch for all

    A text from school friends

    When someone loves the same

    Nerdy things as you do

    Fluffy blankets and clothes

    Just out of the dryer

    Late night snacks with friends

Jokes going around and laughter all around

    Time to go to bed

Happy moments that always come back

    Split second of gratitude…………………………..

    Positive Thoughts…………….

    • Sometimes the best days start with a deep breath, a smile and a heart full of gratitude.  Enjoy the little things in life.
    • Be kind, be sweet, be forgiving, be merciful, be loving.
    • May God fill your home with love, your hands with mercy and your life with many blessings everyday.
    • When your heart is happy and contented your mind is completely free. May your day be overflowing with Love and All Good Things.
    • Do not let age change you. Change the way you age.  Never lose patience, the best things in life happen slowly and unexpectedly.
    • Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. Joy is portable.
    • Smile, it will make you feel better. Pray, it will keep you strong.  Love, it will make you enjoy life.
    • A soft attitude always creates strong relations.  Choose joy and happiness every day in your life. Smile often, sparkle freely and do not let anyone dim your joy.
    • Just as flowers turn to the light, birds fly in the sky, stars twinkle in the night, may you lean into love and warmth every single day.
    • With every rising Sun, we are given a new chance to paint the canvas of our lies with vibrant colours of HOPE, LOVE and HAPPINESS.
    • Happy are those who take life day by day, complain very little, and are thankful for the little things in life.
    • Love and appreciation is the SUNSHINE that opens up the petals of our hearts.

You are Stronger than you Think…………….

You are stronger than you know

    And braver than you feel

    Strength is not always loud

    Sometimes it lives

In the quiet ways you keep moving forward

Its in the mornings you rise

Even when your heart is heavy

In the small acts of tending to life

When it seems almost impossible to do so

And bravery is not the absence of fear

But the steady willingness to each new day

    With confidence and resilience

Be happy and joyous at all times

And take everything as it comes

Courage and strength are always there

Its choosing to open your heart again

To love again, to trust again, to be grateful

You may not always see it in yourself

You are stronger than you know

    And braver than you feel

And one day, when you look back

You will see how far you have truly come…………….

    Breathe with Contentment………….

    Breathe with contentment

Let the world move on without you, for a while

There is no need to chase minutes

Or measure yourself by tasks that are risky

    At times breathing becomes difficult

So let us sit in silence

Feel the pulse of our own heartbeat

Hear the gentle hum of life around you

The day in all its glory with the rays of the sun

Birds flying together in a flock

Hearing the honk of cars passing by

    Savour your tea, your coffee

    Warmth resting in your hands

With a light breakfast you love eating

    Notice the pauses in between

    The quiet spaces between moments

The stillness where nothing seems to happen

Slowing down is not an absence of life

It is life, lived more fully

    Moving gently through the hours

We discover the beauty in simple living

    Breathe with contentment………………………………

    Classroom in the Wild……………..

    I went out into nature

To a classroom in the wild

So that the woods could be my teacher

And I could be the child

The trees were first to speak

With broken limbs I heard them say

That the storms in life are better faced

Than to turn and run away

The sun was next in line

And it was clear she didn’t hide

The things that always shining brings

When we don’t feel that way inside

The clouds rolled in like soldiers

They made certain that I knew

That its okay if we are dark and grey

Or a fluffy shade of blue

The birds chirped in from nowhere

And told me not to worry

    And that everything’s provided

When we do not fear or hurry

And just before I headed home

The stars showed up in their glory

    “remember that the darkness

Helps the light into the story”
