New Listing in My Etsy Shop????

Bet you forgot I had an etsy shop, much less two!

This weekend I managed to get a couple of photos of one of my polymer clay pendants that I didn't hate, and managed to get it listed. I am hoping to get several more things listed this week. I will keep you posted!

8 Bit Rings

So, after much debate, both internal and external, I have finally decided to open a separate Etsy shop just for my rings. I give you 8 bit rings. Only a few items listed right now, but over the course of the next week or so, I will be adding more. Some you have seen, some you haven't.

So, why the new shop? A lot of reasons.
1) Branding. I really feel like my rings are a product that I bring the most of myself to. As such, I feel that I can really develope a specifc brand around them.
2) Pricing. I have been badly underpricing my work. While my prices covered materials, they did not adequately cover the time spent creating a piece. This move allows me to alter my prices to more appropriately reflect my labor, without too much sticker shock.
3) To generate interest on Etsy. My original Etsy shop never really seems to get much traffic. I am hopping that the rebranding, the specialization, new pictures and descriptions will help generate more interest and traffic for my shop.

A very productive weekend

So, I am happy with my crafting this weekend. Despite feeling blecky, I managed to get several new necklaces made. Not only did I get them made, I got them photographed and listed in my shop. YAY!

My favorite is the beaded bead necklaces. I think they turned out very elegant.

The power of flags...

So I was messing with some beads last night and made a new ring. It is a US flag done in peyote stitch. I then put two simple strung seedbead bands on it. The bands are joined together through the middle.


The second photo is a little blurry, but you get the idea. I am finding it very easy to wear, with the flag portion sitting nicely across the top of my finger. This type of band, gives a more 'traditional' ring feel than the full peyote rings I have done in the past. I think I will make up a few more and put them in my Etsy shop for Independence Day.

I decided to try making an Etsy Treasury. I picked out some lovely rings that made me think of Spring. Frankly I am sick of winter and ready for warmth, green, growing, hopping, Spring Fun!

I picked some rings for their fun spring colors (greans, pinks, purples) others for Spring themes(birds, flowers, frogs). And a few for their Spring spirt (rebirth, springyness).

All of them make me want to make more rings... so I think I will. My next post should be a new pattern for a fun Spring ring!

Etsy Beadweavers Street Team!

I have just been accepted to the Etsy BeadWeavers Street Team. This is a group of Etsy shop owners who offer predominately beadwoven materials. This will allow me to enter challenges, work with other shops for cross promotion, and join in a community of bead weavers. All around, a rather cool thing.
