SL23B News โ€“ June 2026 Update 1

SL23B opens in roughly two weeks time and preparations are still on going. The lab are no longer accepting applications for SL23B. In the next week or so you can expect the lab to announce more about the SL23B celebrations like the events calendar, destinations and Shop & Hop etc. If you look at the “SLB” regions today on the Map there are more updated visuals than last month (see below).

Linden Lab first announced SL23B back on Friday 27th March 2026. There has been really good progress since then. The excitement is building up now with just a few weeks left until the big opening to the public. The wait is almost over.

Second Life 23rd birthday (SL23B) celebrations start 18th June 2026 through until 19th July 2026. There will be a full month of live performances, live music, community exhibits and grid wide celebrations around the grid. Second Life official birthday is 23rd June 2026 and there will be many grid celebrations that will be taking place. The theme for this yearโ€™s event is โ€œThe Golden Age of Hollywoodโ€ focusing on vintage glamour, classic cinema, and the โ€œmagic of the silver screenโ€.

  • Maximum: 37, 000 – 39, 000

Second Life monthly concurrency peaks 2026

So far in June 2026 the Second Life daily maximum concurrency levels have not surpassed 40, 000. Hopefully things will improve during the weeks ahead.

Second Life 23rd birthday (June 18 โ€“ July 19, 2026) is just a few weeks away now so maybe the Second Life daily concurrency levels may increase later in the month. It would be good to see the daily maximum levels over 45, 000 during the birthday celebrations.

Stay turned for more Second Life user concurrency updates through June 2026.
