Thank You!

I love Thanksgiving! I love the big family dinners with lots of food and lots of time to visit. It's one of my favorite things ever. Unfortunately, things don't always work out so that I get to enjoy the holidays, but I am going to take a chance to list a few of the things I am thankful for.

1 - Always at the top of the list, my Heavenly Father. Every day in everything I do, I know that He is there and that He loves me, and that makes everything easier to bear.

2 - My Savior. I can't even list all the things He has done for me.

3 - My husband! Randy is the greatest! I knew he was great when I married him, but he just gets better with time!

4 - My kids! They are so much fun to be around. I love them for all their different qualities. They make me laugh so much.

5 - The rest of my family and my wonderful in-laws. I am so glad that my folks live nearby now. It's great to be able to get together. And I married into a family just as awesome as mine!

6 - My comfy lifestyle. I am definitely not living the "lifestyles of the rich and famous,' but when I look around my home, I see a nice, sturdy house that keeps out the weather, electricity, running water, my computers - more than one!, furniture, lots and lots of books, separate bedrooms, a garage with a somewhat reliable car inside - and there are so many people on the planet who don't have all that. I am very blessed.

Happy Thanksgiving! It's a little late, but I figure there is always a good reason to be thankful!

Good News for a Change!

So along with a nasty cold, we have some good news over here! First of all, Sarah won an award for the Reflections art contest at her school. Her picture was a winner at the high school and now she will go on to the district level of the contest! The PTA did a pizza lunch for the winners and their parents and gave her a $10 gift card to Jamba Juice. The theme was "Together We Can." Her pictures was a peace sign made up of flags from around the world. She also got comments from the judge which were very insightful. I'm really proud of her!

Then she had her induction into the Thespian Club, the honor society for drama students at the high school level. They had a ceremony, a short performance, and refreshments. It was great stuff.

And Ellen's great news - she got a job! She's working at Walmart in the dressing room. I'm excited for her. She already started. It's only seasonal, but she's pretty happy about it.

So hurray for the Bohn girls!
