B'Sue Boutiques Change it up blog hop, Cynthia Wainscott

Hola and Welcome to the B'Sue Boutiques "change it up" blog hop.Master Designer and dear friend Brenda Sue from Bsue boutiques is our host. she has gathered 29 artists who took the challenge to transform and utilize one or all of these 4 beautiful raw brass stampings that you can find at www.bsueboutiques.com

I believe the 29 artist (including myself) are part of the B'sue boutiques creative group on Facebook. There we have monthly challenges that help us keep our mind inspired. The challenge for this month is "vintage flair" so we are "changing it up but with a vintage flair" Ok let's start!I decided to use 2 pieces

This little one (LF09727) and I have known each other for a while, I have used it in many of my designs and Its perfect for layering ( if you know me you know "momma loves her layering")So I grabbed my handy super sharp sheers and without feeling sorry I cut those leaves, filed the sharp parts, sanded some more and then applied some Swellegant darkening patina.I had a beautiful layered filigree that miss Brenda informed me a couple months ago it's a Victorian buckle and I knew that was going to be my center of my bracelet. For the sides I'm using "CUF09815" I have used this fella too but when I put it under the buckle it didn't fit right so... I cut it too!, after all it's changed it up!. What I like about this blog hop is that helps you find the stamping inside the stamping, and that's what I did. Later I realized that I probably didn't need to cut the big stamping but it made it easier for me to rivet everything tight and nice.In my messy table you can see I also have other elements in raw brass where I used Swellegant.

After drilling and riveting the main pieces in place the layering fun begun and I started the composition of my design.My mom always said I had an old soul, I think she is right I'm a vintage gal, and this vintage design it's inspired by a special lady, "Titania" queen of the Fairies in a Midsummer Night's dream of William Shakespeare.

Oh and because we need to adapt our designs to today's fashion, here two ladies wearing 2015 fashion trends that I'm sure those dresses go perfect with my cuff ;)

Build a Line challenge from B'Sue Boutiques, Cynthia Wainscott from Exotic Peru Jewelry Part 2

Hola everyone! I can't believe it's time for the second blog hop for the " Build a line challenge" Hosted by the amazingly knowledgeable and my friend Brenda Sue from B'Sue Boutiques.

In the first and introductory blog hop I revealed my first piece: my cuff bracelet "Always" for my " Always and Forever " bridal line, you can read all about it here.

When I started creating this line I thought of the kind of bride that will buy my jewelry, how will her dress would be. I imagined lace, vintage romace, delicate beauty, a piece that would complement her look. All this was my inspiration.

Thinking of the bridal trends and talking to different brides I found out that they are more likely to wear on their special day an statement bracelet, earrings and a very simple necklace or no necklace at all. Because of the response of my customers and wanting to create pieces that would not compete with the dress but will give the bride that "unique" something to complete their look I decided that my line will have just bracelets and earrings.

Meet Mrs. Lodder! She is wearing my first prototype for my "Always and Forever" line: an always bracelet!, isn't she gorgeous? (I also designed her mother's jewelry)

Most of the findings for this line come from B'Sue boutiques.com (did you know I have the honor to be a design team member?) and a constant element is resined paper, I just love the transparency and the romantic touch that adds to my creations. I used book pages, scrapbook paper, even old magazine papers and of course the best Jeweler's resin: ice resin.

Now for the reveal... I have two more finished pieces:

"Queen Bee"

I used the backless floral bezel, cut a blank that will fit and added the resin paper. The focal is embellished with Preciosa rhinestone chain, two little leaves and a beautiful silver plated bee. Rhinestone silver disk and a floral lace stamping cut in half make the sides of this lovely design.

"Pages"

I started with the large Victorian Frame bezel, added the Resin paper, the Preciosa rhinestone chain, I cut and altered a floral stamping for one end and the other side has many fun trinkets.
