In order to build the Snibal-Drago-Gira, means I have to get three separate kits at the same time. Good marketing ploy by Bandai. Anyway after seeing it appear in the anime, I HAVE to get all 3. Which means I bought and built the SDG-R1 Snibal Gundam, SDG-R2 Dragonagel Gundam and
SDG-R3 Giracanon Gundam.

Haha... I got my hands on the 2 of the Expo items on sale at the Gunpla Expo Singapore 2016. But yet I did not buy it outright at the event itself.
Actually I got it online from Carousell. Apparently the seller bought the kits for her boyfriend as a surprise but in the end he already got the items before her. She was selling the Beargguy at $35 and the Zaku II at $75 which actually cost $38.95 and $81.95 respectively at the Expo. I managed to seal the deal with her at $100 for both. Lucky me. Anyway I was already aiming for these 2 kits, so opportunity presented itself. Haha...

I have been quiet for quite a while. It's due to some changes of priorities in my life. But fear not, my passion for Gunpla still runs strong. The best way to continue here is to do a coverage on the ongoing Gunpla Expo Singapore 2016 at the Takashimaya right now.

Let's start with the bigger exhibits on show. As compared to the previous ones, I can say there are slightly more of the human size figures on display and there is a huge RX 78-2 with the similar big size gunpla tools on display.

Going to the event will definitely cost me. Of course I will bring something back from the event and these are my spoils. To be frank, the 20% discount on the regular price of the Gunpla was not really attractive as a lot of us know the Gunpla can be bought at a better price else where. But you can go for the limited edition items or those old stock which they are clearing at more then 30% discount.

To tell you the truth, this is the first time I have seen so many Gundam merchandise on sale in a Singaporean Gunpla event. The annual Singapore Gunpla Expo is nothing as compared to this event in terms of the various merchandise on sale.

I was at the Gundam Docks at Singapore event and boy was I excited to be there. This was one of the biggest event for the Singapore Gunpla Scene which we ever seen. Of course there was the two huge displays of the 1/3 scale RX 78-2 & Char's Zaku II, and not to mention loads of Gunpla on sale.

Of course the hottest item on sale was the SG50 Rx 78-2 which was sold out within the first few days.

Singapore’s only SG50 Gundam Model Kit

As we all now know, Gundam Dock at Singapore will be hitting our shores in a few days time. Of course there will be limited merchandise available for sale. But the item which I hope to really get my hands on is the HG RX 78-2 Gundam Ver. SG50. Yeah right, our own Singapore version of the iconic Gundam.

In celebration of Singapore’s 50th Birthday, Bandai Namco Asia has collaborated with acclaimed mechanic designer Kunio Okawara to create Singapore’s only SG50 Gundam Model Kit. The HG RX-78-2 GUNDAM Ver. SG50 will be available for sale at Takashimaya Square. In addition to the model kit, related SG50 Gundam merchandise will be available during the exhibition. Pricing will be announced closer to date.
Fans who purchase the SG50 GUNDAM Model Kit will stand a chance to get an autograph from Kunio Okawara himself at an autograph session on 6 June, 3pm at Takashimaya.

A lot of the local collectors will definitely want to get their hands on it. I had even heard that some of them were even willing to queue overnight for this.Anyway I wish good luck to those who wants to bring it home this round.

Bandai Namco Asia, one of the leading toy maker and arcade, mobile and home video game publishers in Japan, and Takashimaya Department Store, presents an iconic exhibition in celebration of 35TH anniversary of GUNDAM model kit and in conjunction with Singapore’s Golden Jubilee – the “Gundam Docks at Singapore”. One of the largest such exhibition outside Japan, the approximately 4,000sqm showcase will include over 200 models of the phenomenal Gundam series – the first anime based on space war and machines that sparked off the genre of robotic anime. From 4 to 28 June, the exhibition will be held at Takashimaya Square, B2 and Ngee Ann City Civic Plaza.

Yup! Gundam Gunso is moving house soon.
I am looking forward to my new place, as I have prepared a new display cabinet for my kits. Space is definitely an issue currently, therefore the new display certainly allows me to appreciate my kits more.
I am currently busy with the preparations with the new place, hopefully can post some pictures of the kits in their new home soon.
