Boy, is this a good one! Lessons I am grateful for: being smart in saving money, because emergencies happen and if you are not prepared for it, it could cost you even more! Especially where cars are concerned. I am barely getting by, and I need my car to get to work and the grocery store, taking my sister to her doc appointments as well as my own. I have debt from car repair, but at least I can pay on it.
I am grateful to have a good job. It doesn’t pay much, considering today’s demands and inflation, but I am thankful to have it nonetheless. After dedicating my youth right out of high school to taking care of my bedridden mother for 20 years, I DO NOT have much in the way of skills, and what I DO have there is little to no demand for. That’s okay. If God intended me to be a famous artist, I’d BE a famous artist! The job I have suits me. I interact with people, and I am good with people. I work in retail. You learn A LOT about people in retail, lol!
I am grateful to have learned to cherish loved ones. Like in my previous post, I am lucky to have such a good sister. Born already elated to my best friend.
What life has taught me is family first, to cherish them and spend time with them. Mend broken fences because it’s the right thing to do. I didn’t get to do that before my mom died and I regret it. Cherish your pets, for they are little people, little souls who feel. They may not understand the nuts and bolts of human ways, but they KNOW things. They have a sense that we humans don’t. Here is a pic of my little man, CloverRex, the all-sensing, all-chewing bunny:
