“This happened”…
This man was born blind
This man lived his WHOLE life blind
This man missed out on seeing his childhood
Missed seeing… the birds, the grass, the ocean, the brilliant colors of a sunset, seeing beauty, seeing his parents…
He missed seeing EVERYTHING!
This man missed out on being valued, being a worker, being productive, being independent… perhaps even having a family of his own…

I’m just stopping by because I have a quote to share but first I’ll catch you up on me…
My road has been bumpy lately…
but I have Hope.
Life is totally different these days; you couldn’t begin to understand…
but I have Hope.
Every day is filled with interesting twists and turns that are too deep to share…
but I have Hope.
I am amazed and frustrated; elated and ditch-diving all at once…
but through it all, I have Hope.
Even when darkness tries to overcome…
Yes, I still have Hope.

“…taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

I’d heard it for years… and years… just take those thoughts captive and voila everything is fixed.

Only problem, it didn’t work for me.
I tried, I spoke, I gave them to Jesus, I rebuked, I bound, I tried to “have another thought” but the thoughts would continue to drag me down into a vast array of pits. It felt hopeless.

Counter Attack

It’s been another minute since I’ve written here.
Hi.
Really, when life is hectic or busy and I’m just exhausted from all the tumbling, I just don’t have the energy to express the journey and treasures that I have accumulated in the battles.
When I pray, journal, and press into inner healing God gives me deep insights – they are hard but life giving… so eventually, if He desires, more of them will find their way onto this screen.
