let me specify, this is not vague
a star, a moon, an ocean, clarified
beacon of certainty, pillar of speech

today’s sunset still warming your soul
a first kiss lingering on lips

*** In response to today’s MTB prompt at dVerse Poets Pub. Laura has asked us to choose from lyrical lines of Dylan Thomas or from our own work, then “write as acrostic each word, alongside its defining characteristics.” The guidelines – ” use dictionary, thesaurus etc but loosen up the exactitude of the definition– let your imagination wander through each meaning, by word association, by sound, by interpretation, by what it means to you. or even create your own definition.”. This was a challenge.
I chose the following line.
” Tells with silence the last light breaking“
‐—Dylan Thomas
