Thankful for the Little Things 3
Today I am thankful for my friends. The Lord blesses our lives with relationships with others. Some friends are in our lives forever, some for a season and some only for moments. I am encouraged by the fact that my life has been enhanced through these relationships, each one. To whatever the degree, God used each one in some way...Thank you Lord for "Friendship"

Thankful for the Little Things 2
Each little thing in this photo is derived from the memories of many loved ones. I am thankful today for good memories and the ability the Lord has give me to reach back into my mind to find them. Praise Him always.

The most rewarding relationships are those the Lord has given us.
Family, we don't get to choose who our family members will be, but God knows far in advance who he will add to our lives. The richest and most complicated relationships are those closest to us. So much is learned through out our lives together. Thank you Lord for my family...each member holds deep meaning in my life and I can't imagine life without them. You have blessed my life in so many ways, I do not know how to thank you except to give each one back to you for your care. I trust you will fulfill your purposes for each child, including spouses and grandchildren. You Lord have brought true joy and happiness to my life and I am honored for the children you have place in my care, all the while knowing they are not really mine to keep. Life, Love, and Family...there is nothing that holds the place of these in my life.

Time Passes Far Too Quickly

| Rafael our newest little family member |
Weston has stolen our hearts, but he has left plenty of room for Rafael, who was just one month old on the 10th of December. These are our two newest little people. We are so thankful for how the Lord has blessed our family.

Where on earth does the time go? I often find myself asking that question. Time passes far too quickly. I miss stopping by and reading other people's posts. I'll be back in a few days when I have more time to spend, but here are a couple of recent pictures from my life over the last several weeks.

Illuminate My Heart Lord
Luke 22:31-32 "Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift each of you like wheat. But I have pleaded in prayer for you, Simon, that your faith should not fail. So when you have repented and turned to me again, strengthen your brothers."
As I read my Bible from the Passover meal to the resurrection in Luke, my heart was drawn to this verse. The reason for that has to do with the likeness of my relationship with Jesus to that of Peter. I realized that there have been times when I have doubted and have turned from His Truth, but at the same time, He has held me close to His heart. A measure I do not deserve. I can relate to Peter in many ways. He was human, and real.
I prayed this scripture over myself asking the Lord to illuminate my heart because I, like Peter, am much in need of a Savior who will plead for me in prayer, that my faith should not fail as I am sifted. So when I have repented and turned to him again, I will live out the call for my own life. Thank you Lord for the tug on my heart that reminds me that my life is meant to strengthen and encourage others. I plead also Jesus, that in the sifting process my heart will soften and perhaps grow a bit more pure.
Thank you Lord for speaking to me through your word. Let it be so.
