Changes News and a Teaser

Alright! My blog is finally up to date! I got a little slack there for a minute, but all 14 chapters to Changes can now be found here!

I’m not gonna bother with the links. Most of you have probably already read them over at ff.net, but if you haven’t you can view them by clicking the Southern Vampire Mysteries Fan Fiction link in the side bar. From there pick Changes then whatever chapter you wanna read.

It’s pretty simple!

Now, onto some really good news …

Although it’s later than anticipated, chapter 15 is finished and with Northwoman, so it’ll be up very soon!

That said, here’s a couple little tastes of what’s to come!

First, Sookie …

She almost felt like she was in a dream.

She’d felt that way since he’d scooped her up into his arms and out of the pool. They hadn’t even taken time to dry off; they’d been so caught up in the passion flowing between them as he’d whisked her into his house, then into his bed, kissing her the entire way there.

But what was happening was real and it wasn’t a dream; even though it sort of felt that way.

And, here’s a little Eric …

The moment Sookie was naked, Eric had felt like a kid in a candy store; not knowing where to even start.

In the words of John Mayer; he thought, her body was indeed a wonderland. Better than a fucking wonderland, actually.

He’d eventually found his way between her legs and was now tasting her like she was the last meal on earth. She tasted of pure goodness, so delicious and so sweet. To him, her pussy was like nectar from the gods — the sweetest ambrosia — and he was instantly addicted. He’d never get enough of it and he hated he’d waited so long to try it.

So … like I said, the chapter’ll be up soon and I’m very excited about this one!

Hope y’all are having a great weekend! I’m off to get ready for work!

I haven’t forgotten Changes …

Okay, it’s been a really crazy couple weeks for me.Ā  I hadn’t actually come out and announced it, or anything, but as some of you may know, I lost my job back at the end of June.Ā  I thought it would enable me more free time to write.Ā  I was way wrong!

What I’ve found is that I’m working more hours than I actually worked trying to find a job than I did when I actually had one, but I’ve had several job interviews and have several over the next couple days.

That said; it’s already Tuesday, so I’m thinking there won’t be a chapter this week, but rest assured, there will be one Monday the 16th.

Just wanted to let everyone know I haven’t forgotten about Changes and it is still updating weekly … sorta.

Chapter 9 of Changes is up and A teaser of Chapter 10 …

First …

Happy Fourth of July … for those of you in the States …

Now, onto Changes

I’ve had sort of another busy week!

So busy I almost forgot to post this chapter and the teaser for the next … again!

I suck!

So, if you’d like to read chapter 9 here, click here.

If you’d like to read it at ff.net, click here.

And … Here’s the Chapter 10 teaser:

Ā Ā Ā Ā  ā€œSorry we got you in trouble the other day,ā€ Lafayette said as he skillfully wrapped a strand of Sookie’s hair around the barrel of the curling iron he held.Ā  ā€œWas he real mad?ā€

Sookie winced, remembering their argument.Ā  Eric had said some pretty hurtful stuff.Ā  ā€œHe was pretty pissed,ā€ she answered, looking at Lafayette’s reflection in the mirror in front of them, as opposed to actually looking at him.

Lafayette nodded, to the mirror as well.Ā Ā  ā€œHe seemed it.ā€

I’ll should have Chapter 10 up Monday … if I don’t forget … LOL!

šŸ˜‰ Till then …

Changes Chapter 8 and a Teaser of Chapter 9

I’ve had sort of a busy week!Ā  So busy I almost forgot to post this chapter and the teaser for the next!

Whoops!

But I remembered and I’m only a day or so late!

If you’d like to read chapter 8 here, click here.

If you’d like to read it at ff.net, click here.

And … Here’s the Chapter 9 teaser:

Ā Ā Ā Ā  Sookie’d barely been home an hour and she was already glad she’d made the decision to ask Eric to stay.Ā  When she’d first woken up, she’d actually debated whether she should ask him to or not.Ā  She was still pretty upset over their fight the previous Sunday and a little pissed he’d showed up at her loft drunk and unannounced in the middle of the night, but she’d meant it when she’d told him they were in this together and she didn’t want to see him unhappy; even though he wasn’t her favorite person.

Ā Ā Ā Ā  Ultimately, she’d decided a little time with Hannah might do him some good, but she was quickly finding a little time with him was doing her some good, as well; even though he’d barely said two words since sitting down on her couch after his shower.

I’ll have Chapter 9 up Monday …

šŸ˜‰ Till then …

Changes: A new chapter and a teaser from the next!

Chapter 7 of Changes, my sample fic for the I Write the Songs contest is up!

If you’d like to read it here, click here.

If you’d like to read it at ff.net, click here.

Also, here’s a teaser of what’s to come in Chapter 8:

Ā Ā Ā Ā  Eric was almost home free, having made it all the way to the front door of Sookie’s apartment and so far, she hadn’t made it home yet.

He’d found his shoes and socks, pants, and shirt easily enough.Ā  They’d been crumpled up in the floor, lying beside the bed.Ā  He hadn’t remembered taking them off, but he obviously had, seeing as he’d woke up wearing nothing but his boxers and undershirt.

Once dressed, he’d headed straight for the door, ignoring the tempting and delicious smell of coffee which filled the loft, his growling stomach which was very excited about whatever it was Sookie would be bringing home, and the pounding in his head which was a direct result of the bottle of bourbon he’d drank the night before.

As much as he wanted to have a cup of coffee, eat, and then crawl right back into Sookie’s bed and sleep till noon, he knew he couldn’t.Ā  Not only was he really fucking embarrassed over his behavior the night before, he felt he’d severely overstayed his welcome; especially considering he was probably never really welcome in the first place.

All he had to do now was make it out the door, downstairs, and out of the building without running into her.Ā  Once he’d done that, he could then figure out exactly how he was getting home, seeing as his Audi was already there, parked in his garage, and his Camaro was currently parked at his club, and both were several blocks away from Sookie’s in different directions.

The distance between his club and Sookie’s hadn’t seemed quite as vast, last night, when he’d made the journey on foot, but he’d been drunk as shit then, so he realized that was probably why.Ā  He figured he’d probably need to either take a bus or call a cab to get to the club to get his Camaro once outside and then he’d head home from there.

Till next week!

A little more about me and a little plugging of a great book!

Now, I know I really should be working on Chapter 9 of Changes (so I don’t fall behind and loose my buffer), but I’m in sort of a mood today and writing isn’t coming very easy!

So … maybe later …

I should also finish up my review on Elizabeth Hunter’s (EtheHunter, who wrote The River, to us fan fic junkies) A Fall of Water, but I’m very uninspired to do so … not that the book wasn’t great … because it totally was …

In fact, while I have y’all’s attention … let me plug that …

A Fall of Water is an original self-published book by Ms. Hunter and it’s great.Ā  It’s actually the fourth and final book in her original series — The Elemental Mysteries.

If you’d like to know more about it, here’s a link to it … http://www.goodreads.com/series/79846-elemental-mysteries

These books follow Giovanni Vecchio (a leading man who rivals only Eric Northman … and maybe Barrons, in my opinion) and Beatrice de Novo over a period of about ten – twelve years while they search for Gio’s family’s missing and priceless library.

Gio is a supe, but because of the way the first book is written, I really don’t want to give away much more than that.Ā  There’s a bit of a mystery until well into the first book as to what exactly he is and I don’t want to ruin that for anyone.

These books have become one of my favorite series’ over the past few months as I’ve read and devoured each one and they are totally affordable.Ā  On my Nook, the most expensive one was $3.99 and honestly, I’d have paid way more for it.

They are that good!

As I said, A Fall of Water was the last book in the series; however, Ms. Hunter has promised more the world she’s created, so we have that to look forward to!

Now, I’ll move on to what I’d originally decided to post about … Exercise!

I am the laziest person known to man.

Really, I am.

I’m 35 and since I began driving, for the most part, I have led a life of a total couch potato … which is a shame because I used to be sooooooo active.

When I was in Jr. High and High School I walked everywhere and it didn’t matter how far away it was.Ā  I was also in Marching Band, and then went on to become a member of Auxiliary corp (twirling batons and flags, for those that may not know what that is) and I also played tennis.

I was skinny then.

Well, now, not so much ….

I’m not obese.Ā  I’m a size 12/14 … 10 on a good day and I’m only about four pounds overweight, although I’d like to drop about 20 or 30.Ā  That would put me right around the median of what I should be based upon my height.Ā  Really, if I’d just tone up, I’d be good to go, though.

All that said and explained; I recently got a great deal on a gym membership and would you believe, I’m now super-duper addicted to the gym.

I crave it!

As a matter of fact, I haven’t been since Saturday and I feel like a loser!

But I’m making up for all that tonight!

Now, don’t get me wrong …

I hate going to the gym.Ā  I don’t look forward to it and I hurt all the time, but it’s a good hurt — if there’s such a thing — and once I’m there and I get going there’s just really something super-satisfying about the way I feel.Ā  I love the way I feel when I feel I can’t do it anymore, yet I push myself and make it a bit further.

It’s truly the best feeling in the world!

This all started on Memorial Day.Ā  Since then, I’ve gone to the gym five days a week for at least an hour, but preferably two and would you believe I’m already seeing results.

I’ve actually gained weight, but my clothes are looser, my muscles are more tone (OMG! I have hard abs — granted they are still covered by a layer of smooshy, fat, but they are there and if I engage them and stretch, I can see them!), and my love handles are disappearing before my eyes!Ā  I also have more stamina (Thank you, Treadmill!Ā  I love you).

It truly is amazing how quickly changes have come.

So, why am I telling y’all this?

Well … for a few reasons …

1. Because I’m so proud of myself I want to share it with everyone.Ā  There’s just something about the way I felt the first time I ran for 10 minutes straight on the treadmill.Ā  I could not have done that two weeks ago, yet after four days of exercise, I was able to.

2. Because I’m sure there’s some of you out there who can totally relate.Ā  If there’s one trend I’ve noticed about my computer junkie friends is that we’re all lazy and out of shape.Ā  Maybe I’m wrong, but I’m lumping fan fiction readers in with the computer junkies because I’ve found a lot of us are one the computer a lot.Ā  Also, writers often spend hours upon hours sitting in front of the computer.Ā  All of this means we aren’t out, being active and our metabolisms are completely shot!

And …

3. Because I want y’all to know if I can do it, y’all can too.Ā Ā  Like I already said, two weeks ago, I could have never ran for ten minutes straight, but now I can!Ā  Did I mention, I’m a smoker too … it’s sorta relevant to my out-of-shapeness.Ā  Anyhoo, When I first started, I worked out with my BFF and I honestly thought I’d never make it through the workout, but I did and it’s getting easier every single time I go and every single time, I surprise myself with what I’m able to do.Ā  I’ve learned it doesn’t matter how big or small you are, or how strong or weak you are … I swear, you can get fit if you just put in a little effort.

So, if any of you are trying to get a little healthier, or want to, feel free to drop me a line.Ā  It’s always easier to do these sorts of things when you have support and I’m definitely here for any of you who may need it!

Now, I’m sure I’ve completely bored you all to death, so I’ll stop!Ā  I have reviews to write, chapters to write, contest entries to read … and did I mention I’m actually at work, so I guess I should be doing my job! LOL!

Till next Monday …

Changes Chapter 7 Teaser

Here’s the teaser for Chapter 7 of Changes …Ā  It’s sorta short … so sorry for that, but I didn’t want to really give too much away and everything else in the chapter would.

So … Here y’all go!

šŸ˜‰ Kelly

Ā Ā Ā Ā  When he’d first woke her, knocking and shouting, she was pissed off; especially after their last meeting, when he’d dropped Hannah off on Sunday, but when she’d finally opened her door and saw his disheveled state and his desperateness, she couldn’t be angry; only concerned.

His pants were expensive, yet wrinkled, his shirt — wrinkled as well — hadn’t been buttoned correctly and was untucked, his hair was pulled back, yet most of it was hanging loose and messy, and the stubble on his face hadn’t looked as if it were a day old, but instead, several days old.

Aside from his looks, he’d smelled like a bottle of bourbon.

Changes: Chapter 5 is Posted!

Chapter 5 of Changes is up!

If you’d like to read it here, click here.

If you’d like to read it on ff.net, click here.

And, because I’m really busy for the next couple days and I’m afraid I’ll forget, here’s the teaser for Ch. 6 just a little early:

Ā Ā Ā Ā  The week went by and Sookie hadn’t heard from Eric at all.Ā  She figured that meant his first week with Hannah had gone pretty well; which gave her hope for her own.Ā  Actually, she had gotten a reminder text the day before that he’d be at her place to drop Hannah off at four, but that was it and it sort of surprised her.Ā  They’d gotten along really well at his house the previous Sunday.Ā  So well, in fact, she was considering asking him to hang out with her and Hannah tonight; assuming he had no plans.

Ā Ā Ā  Pam had been right.

Ā Ā Ā Ā  There was more to him; of that she had no doubt.Ā  He’d barely opened up to her at all and she could tell he was seriously guarded, but he had let her see a few different sides of him that she’d never seen – a more vulnerable side, a charming side, a funny side.Ā  Ā She’d found herself wanting to learn even more of his many hidden facets; not that it would be easy.

Hope y’all enjoy it! šŸ˜‰ Kelly
