(2/19/16) Friday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing of Magickal Beings. Over the past week I have answered a lot of your questions. I tried to do it all in these daily posts, quite simply because there were so many. Allow Lisa and myself to once again thank you all for the positive input and well wishes that so many of you sent to us in our darkest times. Ok now on with the post. This Is Just My Opinion…The world of Magick is a very vast place, as in any society you have quite an array of folks who practice. Now the way I look at it is just this. Whether you are a Fiesty Witch, or A Cauldronite, or a Druid, a Christian WItch or even just a Practitioner of the Craft, we are all wielders of Magick. This and this one thing unites us all in no other way. Its a sort of brother and sisterhood, a fellowship if you will. We all know the secret, and walk with it tucked comfortably within us. It allows us to shine and glow and walk with an air of confidence that no other one thing can match. It is a part of who we are, a lifestyle, a friend, a mentor, and at times our most loved one. It is what makes us who and what we are. With it within us we are connected to all other things upon this world. And we wield it with strength and honor, as a knight would wield a shield. We are wielders of Magick, protectors of all things in nature, her guards, and at times her warriors. So always remember, all of you, you are never alone and never without help, for there are thousands of us, and we are awake. And with the internet we can all communicate as never before. (2/18/16) Thursday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing of Magickal beings. Continuing with answering all the PM’s I received in my absence, today I would like to talk about Altars. Now in the picture is Lisa‘s and my altar. Now my wife and I share an altar, and thats not a usual thing but its our way. The thing about Altars is that they should reflect you and be apart of you. Now I know that in many books they show you how to set them up and all. But in truth there is no right way or wrong way to do them. Altars are like a conduit of sorts, a place to focus your energy and help complete your intent. Now in the picture you will notice on the right and left of the Athame, 2 crystals, the one on the left is Lisa’s and the one on the right is mine. Also we have the 4 candles White, Red, Blue, and Green, representing the four elements. Also behind the Athame is some feathers, these were gifts from 2 hawks and 1 eagle along with a nasty little Crow who just would not be happy until we took his, but thats another story. Also on the Altar there are 2 Chalice’s these were handed down several generations in my family. They are made from blown Mercury glass and were a gift to my 5 x Grandmother from the late 1700’s, maybe early 1800’s, no ones quite sure. Also we have statues representing Lisa’s Panther and my Wolf which are our spiritual guides. And of course an assortment of gems, a censor, an incense holder, a crystal ball of sorts and a few other items that we deem necessary. Now this is our way of setting up our Altar, as long as you have the basics to perform what ever it is you would want to perform. Setting it up is all on you. What feels right is how we do it. Our crystals and gems get recharged every full moon so we are constantly rearranging it and this keeps it fresh. I sure hope this helps all of you, for this is the first time I have ever posted a picture of my Altar. To me its a personal thing and I do not generally share pictures of it. (2/17/16) Wednesday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing Magickal Beings. So today I want to address some more of all the questions I have received. I want to speak to all of you about Casting. Now whether you use tools or merely your hands Casting is a part of you. Its the energy within you and around you that you focus upon what ever the desired out come you would like. Now I know many of you out there are unsure what you are doing, and you know what, thats okay. Its called learning for a reason. But allow me to say some thing to all of you. When casting it is always best if the ritual and/or spell comes from you. I know many that will ask for a spell or go on line and look one up. But even those were written by some one. The best spell, in my opinion is the one written by yourself. It infuses it with a part of you and there fore makes it more potent . I have been practicing for a lot of years and yes I have received some spells from friends or found some in other places. But even those if I decide to use them I will tweak them or use a portion of them. This way as I said it allows a part of me to be within the spell. Okay so this is a large category and I could speak about this all day. The most important thing to take away from todays post is this, always try and use your own spells or rituals. Always make sure your setting is protective and you are in the proper frame of mind before performing any type of casting. (2/16/16) Tuesday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing of Magickal Beings. Over the last few days I have been trying to answer all the PM’s I have received since I have been gone. So far I believe I have done that. But the one question that seems to come up more and more is about the Energy that is used in performing Magick. Now the other day I was reminded of a simple fact, I speak about performing Magick, and thats great. But to truly understand, it needs to be a part of you, of who you are. See being a Practitioner of the Craft, means its a life style. Its not some fad or a way to impress some body. To actually perform Magick you must be a part of Magick and it a part of you. Now getting back to this energy that all of you keep asking me about. Okay, first of all its every where. It surrounds us on an infinite scale, it has always been and will always be. It is what is in all things, animals, plants, dirt, water, air and most important of all, its in all of us. It is the one thing that connects us all with every thing else. By using this energy we are able to perform Magick. Now this is the way I was taught, so if any one has any thing different to add that I have missed please feel free to do so. (2/ 15/16) Monday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing Magickal Beings. Alright continuing with answering all your PM’s. In performing Magick as with most things in life, it takes Balance and Control. Being able to balance whats inside you and in your head is very important to casting. And just as important is the ability to balance the energy you are using and releasing. But its not just that, these 2 things most be done within ones self. In order for one to be in control of what he/she may be doing. Now I know so many of you have problems with this, but Meditation is a great way to obtain control and balance of ones inner self. In order to work with Magick, one can not go in half cocked as it were. Now I have been practicing Magick for 40 years. I have seen some strange and unusual things and experienced some odd events. None of these would have turned out as well as they did were it not for being in control of not only the situation, but my mind as well. The balance I set within my self allows for all things to work well, if something happens it is not a time to be freaking out over it. See the thing is, this is real world, there is no reset button to start again. When working with Magick its a get it right the first time. Because the results could turn out to be very bad. So all of you need to think before working Magick and performing rituals. Make sure your ready not only with the tools you are using but the mind set you need to do it right. (2/14/16) Sunday…….Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing of Magickal Beings. To continue with answering all of your Questions, here is another one that I am asked over and over. Can any one do Magick? Well my answer to this is simple, yes, any one can practice Magick. Now some folks may be born with it in them or even be more connected than others. Now this does not mean that these folks have a monopoly on it, it just means that it may run in their family, or that they have a stronger connection with it. But any one can do it, it takes patience and the will to learn. Even myself at my age, am I still learning. You see the thing with Magick is that you will never know it all. Walking a path such as ours is a life long dedication, well, that some folks just do not have. Being able to tap into the energy that surrounds us, is a very easy thing to do, with the right training and understanding of how it works. But these things come with time and patience. There is no book out there called Magick for Dummies. There is no quick way to learning, only by studying and practicing will you ever achieve any level of success. Greetings of Love and Light, to all of you most amazing of Magickal Beings. You know this really strikes me as a funny situation. I am just a man. I know my self worth, but I do not present myself as all that, or flaunt my abilities in any ones face. Myself and my wife along with our family live a quiet life on 50 acres, way back in the deep Maine woods. Now in the real world, I call maybe 3 people friend. I choose this life style, for being a Empath is a two sided sword. But I ramble, the point of all this is simply that I am blown away by all the pm’s. So today and for the next few months, LOL, I will attempt to answer all the questions and respond to all of your E-mails and PM’s. The most often asked Question that I get is a simple one.What exactly is Magick? Well the best way I can answer this is by telling you all exactly what my Grandmother told me as a young boy. You see Magick is energy, and its energy is all around us. Its in every thing from the air to the trees to the land and to the water. Its in all things living and all things dead. See and at that point I would say, “But Oma, How can the dead have energy?” And her response would be, ” Oh little boy how much you have to learn, just because the body is dead does not mean their energy is.” Energy or Magick, is all around us, being able to do Magick, is just our ability to see and us this energy for what we need. And as with all things depending on how we use this energy determines who and what we are by the defining actions we impose upon the world. You see by us using this energy we disturb the balance of all things. And a caring Witch uses this energy by allowing the balance to remain. Now as a youngster I would eventually learn what this meant, and I like to believe I have grown up doing and learning in the right way. Now I am not saying my way is the right way and your way is the wrong way. I am saying this is how I was taught. But I do believe we all have a responsibility as mature adults and as Witchs, to do nothing ill against nature or our fellow man. Unless we are endangered I believe we are here to help in keeping a balance among all nature. But thats just my belief, and all of you have a right to believe how ever you want.
