The word anchored really moves my heart when I think of our faith in Jesus Christ who shed His blood on the cross that you and I may receive the free gift of eternal life. Sweet salvation my friends, what could be better?
Ponder this for a minute. Jesus is our anchor through good times and bad times. He’s there during our celebrations, our blessings, and worship. He is also there when we are in the midst of a storm, trial, or tribulation. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is present in the greatest adversity… When one makes this statement, “Why did God leave me?” God didn’t leave, we are the ones who leave Him and that is the simple truth.
1 John 2:28 says; And now, dear children, continue in Him, so that when He appears we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming. We have to be prepared for this day my friends. When is this day? No one knows the day, not even Jesus. So if you aren’t prepared, I pray that you are thinking about your salvation.
Hebrews 6:19 says; Come to Me continually, I am meant to be the center of your consciousness, the Anchor of your soul. Your mind will wander from Me, but the question is how far will you allow it to wander. An anchor on a short rope lets a boat drift only slightly before the taut line tugs the boat back toward the center. This is where He wants us, living a God centered life.
Similarly, as you drift away from Me, My Spirit within you gives a tug, prompting you to return to Me. As you become increasingly attuned to My Presence, the length of rope on your soul’s Anchor is shortened. You wander only a short distance before feeling that inner tug telling you to return to your true center of joy in me.
I encourage you to pay attention to your anchor and see where it is at this point in time. Just know that God is always there, He will never fail you nor forsake you. He is always faithful, and His love for His children is unfailing. For those who have Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior should be smiling right now because they are so blessed. Have a wonderful day.
