That Time Of Year Again!
Well I can't see us doing much celebrating here, extreme heat &
we are on fire watch! Perhaps Winter Solstice might be a better time! However,
it is tradition, so from me to you, I hope you all have a great Xmas & get
everything you wanted. If you are in fire areas, please take care, your life is
more precious than your house!!!
All the best, sincere regards, Keith.

Xmas Wishes to All.
David Jacobson Selling Christmas Trees.
My wife & I do not celebrate Xmas, preferring to celebrate Winter Solstice. But I know many of you do celebrate Xmas especially when you have young children in the family. So from me to you, wherever you are, I wish you all the very best for this Xmas season & the coming new year.
Sincere regards, Keith.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my followers & visitors for sticking with me all these years. My thanks too for all the comments & the helpful information & corrections to my posts. Very much appreciated.
Keith.

1485 to 1603. The Tudor Period and Winter Solstice.
I believe, that to get a better grasp of 18th century life, you need to go back in time. That is why our 18th century Living History group's time period is 1680 to 1760. For me to remain in my period of interest, 1740, as I get older, I must move my Birth date back in time !
I hope you enjoy the following videos. I have jumped ahead a little to Xmas, as it is that time of year, but I will include all of the series.

WISHING YOU ALL A MERRY XMAS.
Christmas Coach 1795 by Jean Leon Ferris
Well there is only about a week to go to Xmas, and I hope you all have a good one. Our family will not be here until the 28th, so I guess we will have some sort of Xmas then. Being in Australia, this means Xmas in Summer, something I have never got a handle on and some how it just doesn't feel like Xmas. We will however celebrate Winter Solstice.
I hope you all get something from Santa that you want or need. Usually for me it is something inexpensive & practicle like some beeswax or linen thread, but this year I simply can't think what to put on my "Wants List". But I am thankful that all my family are well, and that I am still relatively mobile ! I must get out in the forest more once the fire season is over and Winter has arrived. I hope we get some snow this year that will actually lay !!!
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Regards, Keith.

Xmas is near, Best Wishes To All.
I do not consider myself a Christian. To me xmas is a time to gather my family about me, & a time for the giving of gifts & thinking of others.
I wish all this blog's followers a very Mery Xmas, & I hope you get what you want, whether it be having your family about you, or a holiday & some peace & quiet, or some gifts that really make your day.
At this time please give some thought about those that are not as fortunate as ourselves, for some there will be nothing this xmas that they don't already have, & for some that will be very little.
That does not mean that you have to gag on every bite of food this xmas, or even feel guilty about having such a good time. But it does mean that you should feel very greatful for what you do have no matter how little that is. Me? I am just so glad to be back in my forest home again with my family. Anything else is just icing on the cake.
All the best everyone for a good xmas season & for the New Year to come.
Regards, Keith aka Le Loup.
