He is one of the main contributors to the understanding of phishing and crimeware, and is currently focusing his efforts on <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-sea-697d.quartiers047.workers.dev:443\/https\/www.agari.com\/social-engineering\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>social engineering<\/em><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-sea-697d.quartiers047.workers.dev:443\/http\/www.markus-jakobsson.com\/?p=287\"><em>human aspects<\/em> of security<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-sea-697d.quartiers047.workers.dev:443\/http\/www.markus-jakobsson.com\/?p=394\"><em>mobile<\/em> security<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Markus has published <a href=\"https:\/\/blue-sea-697d.quartiers047.workers.dev:443\/http\/amazon.com\/author\/markus-jakobsson\" target=\"_blank\">a collection of books<\/a> and over one hundred peer-reviewed conference and journal articles. He holds 50+ patents and more than a hundred pending patents. In 2016, he joined Agari as Chief Scientist. Agari is a leading email security provider addressing spoofing, business email compromise, and other email-based threats.
