I wanted to ask you how you felt about certain units viability at certain point levels in warhammer 40k. I feel some units become more viable in certain point ranges. I was wondering what you thought about it. Do units that are not optimized have the potential to become beasts when the point value potential allows for an army to have no real way of dealing with them. For instance, I play in a 1500 point tournament every other weekend. Overlord semp weave (2+), phase shifter (3++), war scythe(S7 power weapon) , mind shackle scarabs, command barge come out to 255 point and absolutely are wrecking people. At 1500 points, people really cant bring a unit to deal with these guys a lot of the time. The run around splitting vehicles in half, can get out and bog people down or kill shooting units. More to the point, the stay between my army and the rest of theirs. These guys have won combats against decker nobs, archon+9 incubi, 20 man ork boys squads, entire assault marine squads, and more. They have tar pitted squads that would have eaten units in my army, but because they are so tough, they usually escape unharmed.
Stelek,
Is there a competitive “tank destroyer” list hiding in the Blood and Guts book? Could you help out?
