The weekend is here!

One thing that I love about this semester is that I have Friday's off. It's nice being able to sleep in and not going to class on Friday. My mom gets so mad when she calls me on Friday's and I tell her I just got up. Haha! Last night my cousin Caitlin and her boyfriend Matt, Kristan, Natalia, Stephen, Casey and I all went to this restaurant off Texas Ave called Pyro. It was pretty good..but different. It was a Mongolian Grill where you get a bowl and you get to put any type of vegetable, meat, and sauce in it. You put everything in yourself including the raw meat then give it to the cook to cook. Afterwards, (most of us) went to the Tap which is a bar/grill that has pool tables, karaoke, outside porch, and live music. It's not too crowded which I liked and it reminded me of places we go to back home. Here are some pictures of some of my friend's up here.

My friend Natalia runs marathons every year. She has even ran one in Alaska! I don't know how she can run 26 miles..I think it I would die! I was dying after that 2 mile walk this past Monday for my aerobic walking class! Tomorrow she told me about a 5K she is running here in College Station Sunday morning. I am thinking about going to go register for it today.....I'm sure I wont run the whole thing maybe do half and half. So..I'll let ya know how I do! Have a great weekend!!

Spring Break and The Bachelor

This year we have all decided to take a spring break trip to South Padre Island for three nights. I have not been to Padre in years..we use to go alot a long time ago. It's going to be me, my cousin Catlin, our friend Kristan, my best friend Kimberly, and possibly a couple more girls. I have not been on a spring break trip in college yet so this should be interesting! We just made reservations the other day at a motel...it's not going to be a Marriott or anything! Ha! We had to go cheap as possible and being spring break week the hotel's have jacked all the prices up! Last year Kimberly and I went to Galveston for the day during Spring Break. I'm sure Padre will be ALOT nicer than Galveston!

I was on People.com earlier and they posted the ring that Jason is suppose to give either Melissa or Molly next Monday night. Its a 3.18 diamond cut. Here is a picture of it!

Happy Birthday Kailee!

I'm so excited about my new online journal thing! Today I had a two mile pre-test in my aerobic walking class. We walked around campus really fast taking short quick steps while moving our arms at the same time. It was kind of embarrassing! Our teacher wanted us to walk two miles in under 23 minutes and if we go beyond 23 minutes we get points deducted. Well my friend Kristan and I walked it in about 32 minutes! haha! Kristan is shorter than I am and our legs cant move that fast. Ha! Today at two I am going to a local elementary school for the HOSTS program. This is my second time going..I really enjoyed it last week. I tutor a little boy for about a half an hour once a week. Tonight I have my dreaded three hour class...my group and I have to present our presentation tonight on our Picture Story Book Projects.

I finally gave in!!

Hi everyone! I finally gave in and decided to start blogging. I know of some people that have blogs and I thought I should start an online journal as well. I am 21 years old from Houston, Texas (actually north of Houston). I am currently attending Texas A&M University. This is my second semester at A&M and I really like it here! I am majoring in early childhood education and plan to graduate in December 2010. I'm really excited about becoming a teacher! I would love to teach the 4th grade. I have been subbing for the past 3 years for a local school district and I have really enjoyed doing that. When I am not studying I love hanging out with friends, going to the movies, eating Mexican food, and watching reality TV. Who do you think will win the Bachelor? I am hoping Melissa wins from Texas!

This past weekend I went home to celebrate my friend Kailee and Kyle's Bday! We all went out Friday night...it was really nice to see everyone again. On Saturday I went to see the Legally Blonde Musical in Houston with my mom, some of her friends, my aunts, and cousins. It was a lot of fun! Afterwards, we ate at a Mexican food resturant in town.
