Mysterious Fever

Taylor (and us) was up with a high fever pretty much all of last night. For the last three nights she gets a fever in the evening and I thought maybe it was her teeth. Last night was the worst, but she woke up happy as can be with no fever. I worked a 1/2 day and got off work and took her to the dr. just for my own peace of mind. What did they find...nothing. No ear infection, throat infection, or any of the other regulars they check for. I really don't like feeling like I don't know! So, we came home and she napped for 2 1/2 hours and I squeezed in about 2 hours! Man did that feel good after the night we had. When she woke up she was a little whiny for the rest of the afternoon, but no fever. So, I'm still a little puzzled and wondering what tonight will bring??

Hand Made Gift

***Making handcrafted items is a dying art, but they are so fun to make & get! So, here's a little game to encourage the handcrafting to live & thrive!! The first {5} people to leave a comment on this post will receive, at some point during the year, a super-duper handmade gift from me. What it will be and when it will arrive is a total surprise!
The catch is that you must participate as well-before you leave your comment here, write up (or copy & paste as I did!) a pay it forward post on your blog to keep the fun going. Then come back, let me know you're going to play, and sit back and anticipate the arrival of your gift!
Remember that only the first FIVE comments will receive a gift from me, so be quick! This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1. I make no guarantees that you will like what I make! But I will try my best to make sure you like it
2. It will be done this year (hopefully sooner than later.)
3. You will have no clue what it is going to be.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

My sister and I got the babies matching shirts at Old Navy. We took pictures today and I will post more of them later, but for now, here's Taylor. I really need to go to bed!!

Eating Cake

So, I totally copied JC Penny and the pictures they take of babies eating their cake. I know it's still a few weeks away, but I wanted to give myself time to do it again if it didn't work out. I also needed a trial for the cake I want to make her. Cake decorating is not easy (you are so talented Kris)!! I just think it would be so memorable if I can make it, we'll see. So, I do have to give Jimmy all the credit for the pics since he took them, but I edited them, got her all dolled up twice, and made the cake...so I did my part. :)I do have to say this was sooooo much fun watching her eat it. She did not want her hands in it for the first five minutes, so she just kept eating like a dog! Finally she dug in!

Blog 2 Print

I am so excited about this!!! You can turn you blog into a nice book to keep forever. The nice thing is that you can do a little trial on the website. It surprisingly doesn't take very long at all maybe a couple minutes. I did mine today. My book would be 175 pages and cost about $75 for a hard back. It is a chunk of money for me, but I think it's worth it. If I were a lot more organized I probably wouldn't have to make a book because all of my pictures would be organized in a book with notes on each of them. So since I'm not, this is a great idea. All of my pictures and entries in order and in one book. I'm thinking I will wait until after Taylor's birthday and then get the book made. Then I will just turn each year into a book. Sounds like a great keepsake to me!! What do you think?

11 Months

Taylor is now 11 months. It's really sad how fast they grow up :( She is such a busy girl now. She is all over the place and pretty much into everything. Her absolute favorite things to do right now are climb the stairs and climb faster when you come to get her, climb up on the toy box and stand on it, snuggle the dog until he is so snuggled out that he doesn't know what to do, and have her little blankie and snuggle it and suck her thumb at the same time. She has really become attached to a little blanket Jimmy had bought for her while I was still pregnant. She sees it anywhere around the house and gets so excited, then crawls over to it, snuggles it, and then rolls all over the floor with it. There is something about the blanket that makes her automatically stick her thumb in her mouth and then start rolling all over with it. It's really cute to watch. She popped two more teeth last week about a day or two apart. It was like she had no teeth and now all of a sudden she has four. She says a lot of mamamam, dada, gayyyy (Gage maybe), and lots of other sounds that I have no idea. Her favorite foods are CHEESE (she could just live on cheese alone), green beans, peas, crackers, yogurt melts, those gerber dried fruit squares, grilled cheese, and quesadillas. If we stand her up and call her, she tries to walk to us, but doesn't make it very far. She does take a couple steps, but then leans too forward. I'm sure there's more, but these are most of the major things I can think of right now.
The new baby gate.

Getting all of Gage's toys out.

Climbing in and out of this chair is a hit even when she is tired.

This was the best!!! She actually fell asleep on me. This never ever happens and it was like heaven! I wish she could do this at least once a week or month.

I had to take a picture of this bed head. I put the bow in there as a joke.

Standing on the toy box.

Giving her daddy snuggles.

Happy Anniversary

March 4th was our 3rd wedding anniversary. We didn't do much celebrating on that day since it was a work night. I did get a small cake though. I went to Simply Cakes where Tawny and my sister got their wedding cakes. Our bakery it down in Temecula...too far for me! It was really cute and tasted very good. We even let Taylor have a little bit.
This is just so you can see her new top teeth!

Can you tell she doesn't care for cake???
