She's Almost 18 Months

I can't say that picture taking was any easier this time. Something about being confined in that little area and people telling her how to pose and where to look and what to do just doesn't work for her.

We weren't getting any smiles with the costume on and definitely not with the head piece on. She was over it!! All done. At least I got one where she wasn't crying (well, she's border line) She's still adorable though!

This was about 30 seconds after walking into the room. She was all about it for the first five minutes.

I love that JC Penny emails them to you pretty much right away now.
New things that Taylor does...
  • Sings the Sesame Street song all the time. It sounds like, "Naaah nah, naah, nah." Something like that. It comes from the Elmo's World part. She just can't get enough of him.
  • Says "no" to pretty much everything. She does the sign to show me she is hungry and I say, "Do you want some (we don't even get to finish)," "no." "Do you want some fishies?" "No." "Do you want some water?" "No." And this just goes on all day long. It's hard to find what she wants these days.
  • Tries to tell Gage to sit and points her finger and tells him to roll, but he doesn't listen to her. So cute to watch.
  • Loves vegetables and fruit, any kind. She eats those over most foods.
  • She tries to get in the little stroller push toy she has at least once a day. It's way too small, but she still tries.
  • She is such a monkey. Can pretty climb anything. My favorite is when she climbs the computer chair, stands on it, and then proceeds to type with both hands and then move the mouse with one hand and then goes back to typing. Do you think I spend too much time on the computer?Oopps.
  • Tries to put her shoes on all the time, but she can usually only get one on and it's backwards.
  • She thinks that she can talk. She will go on and on and on. She also will point her fingers while doing it. That's usually when it's real serious.
  • My mom is working really hard on teaching her to share with Gavin, but it's really hard for her. She's pretty bossy with him.
  • She opens and closes her eyes when I tell her. I need to get pictures of that.
  • When you say, "Show us your funny face," she does a scrunched up funny little face.
  • She feeds her babies babas.
  • Loves to TEST me when I tell her "no."
  • She's going to start Gymboree classes tomorrow...I will post some pictures :)
  • That's all I can think of for now, I'm getting so tired!

Finally We Have Grass!

It got delivered at 6:30 this morning. It's installed and beautiful. We are so happy with how all of turned out :)

Petting Zoo Birthday Party

Today Taylor and I went to Blake's birthday party while Jimmy worked on our yard. They had a petting zoo that Taylor loved. She is not afraid of animals at all. She wanted to touch them all and play with them. It was really cute to watch her. She loves animals right now and likes to make their sounds, but she actually got to see them today...not just pictures in a book or on TV. Thanks for having us Amy and Blake. (I couldn't pick which ones to leave out)

Carnival Fun

Friday night Taylor and I went to a carnival to support my sister's school. We ate dinner, walked around and visited her classroom. Taylor and Gavin acted like it was equivalent to Disneyland! They were so excited and getting into every possible thing, trying to take things off the walls, touch all cords and computers and carrying the globe around. I couldn't help but take pictures. I'm sorry Jenna that you quite a mess to go back to on Monday.

Washing the Buggy

Last weekend Taylor and I washed her buggy. It was embarrassing how dirty it has gotten. We walk her in it everyday, so it had melted popsicles, dirt, etc. She was very cute about washing it and wanted to do it by herself...like a lot of things these days.

Our Almost Finished Backyard

It's almost done! Last week we got curbing done and electrical put in all of the planters. We also went to the nursery and got all of our plants. All we are waiting for is sod that is supposed to be here on Wednesday...can't wait.

Everything got planted.

That's some of the curbing and plants.

Taylor loves to climb right now. She thinks this wall is for her to climb everyday.

What's Wrong with Blogger?

Why can't I load pictures today? I have done it 5 times and it comes up with some bad request message.

Interesting Bugs

Jimmy has taken these pictures of these bugs that he has seen in our yard in the last couple of weeks. Taylor, by the way, touches them and says "bug,"and isn't afraid of bugs at all. So gross...I don't like bugs.

I thought these were kind of neat because I never see these kind.

Everlasting Cold

I have had a cold that will not quit! It officially started 8 days ago, the first two days were just a sore throat. I did zicam every three hours and thought for sure I was going to get rid of it. WRONG! I finally went to the dr. on Sunday because I had no energy and was not getting any better. He just told me that I had a viral infection and prescribed some Tylenol Cold for me, which I already had a ton of. Then, I woke up with a toothache on Monday as if things couldn't get any worse. I took Tylenol all day and today called the dentist. My principal was nice enough to let me slip out for a little while today and run to the dentist. They took xrays and examined my teeth because I was sure I was going to need something major like a root canal because that was just my luck. I was pleasantly surprised that I had nothing wrong. He said that my sinuses are probably inflamed which is irritating something near my teeth. What a relief because I am not fond of the dentist and was already in tears that I had to go. So, now I just can't stop coughing. I just can't believe I am not over it! I have so many pictures to post of my back yard, but so little time. I will be back soon.
