No Bunny Compares To You!

Today I'm playing at Simon Says Stamp's Monday Challenge where they want you to use some Spritz or Splatter. Time for me to get out the Distress Ink and get messy!

All of my cards start the same way. I arrange images on a piece of clear plastic the same size as my card base. This allows me to define the area of my design and work with the images until I'm happy. The clear plastic has another advantage because I can slide different backgrounds underneath.
The plastic was really helpful this time because my sky and grass weren't equally balanced on the card. The basket sits higher and I didn't want it floating in the air.
The images from EGG-stra sweet are just that.. super sweet! They were easy to color and arrange. I love that the set includes the basket flowers and sentiments so you really don't need anything else.
I hope you find some time to play today! It's a great way to relax and then you can make someone smile when you share your masterpiece!

My Creative Scrapbook February 2026 Main Kit

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you're having a great day! If you're looking for a great way to treat yourself I hope you consider trying a subscription to one of the My Creative Scrapbook monthly kits. They select the pattern papers and lots of coordinating supplies and deliver it straight to your front door so all you have to focus on is MAKING! Every month they have several kits to choose from.. their Main Kit, LE - Limited Edition, Creative Kit and Album Kit - so you can choose what's right for you!
This time I'm playing with the Main Kit that includes 12" papers and embellishments from Simple Stories "Take Note" Collection. You'll also find die cuts, stickers, stencil and lots more! Everything is hand selected with care and perfectly coordinated to work together and shipped directly to your door!
I'm totally a "brights" gal so I gotta tell you I'm smitten with the kit this month. I love being surprised every month, and I haven't had a kit yet that I didn't like, but I mean... seriously!? This month has my name all over it!
This kit has bright colors, fun fonts, flowers, hearts, cameras, butterflies and lots of desktop items like pencils, clipboards, paperclips, stamps, etc. Most of us are trying to get more organized in the new year purchasing calendars and making resolutions. This kit makes me feel the way a new planner and a pack of colored pens does - HAPPY!
I always start the same way. I trim the 3x4" and any Ephemera cards and set them to the side. 12" papers are cut to 6" squares and placed half face up and half face down so I can see all the prints. Next I put baby powder on stickers to turn them into die cut pieces. Next I arrange them by category.. just as an example, flowers are in one pile, sentiments in another. Finally I get to work arranging the pieces on clear plastic the size of my card base. I arrange and rearrange until I'm happy. To get a "sneak peek" of the finished design I slip different pattern papers under the clear plastic.
I like to use the 3x4" journaling cards and journaling bits sheet to create focal points for my designs. I don't limit myself to whatever sentiment is printed on them, it's easy to cover them with images or perhaps a larger sentiment.. it's all up to you!
Everything you see on my cards is included in the kit EXCEPT for the white cardstock card bases, solid cardstock cover matts, adhesives and gems. Things that you already probably have in your stash right now.
You'll have fun making cards or documenting memories with this kit. No matter what your style too. I love to make scene cards, but collage, mixed media, clean and simple, layered..... whatever your style you make this kit yours!
I invite you to join one of their monthly kit clubs and experience the possibilities that their coordinated kits offer. With plenty of innovative materials and ideas to jump start your imagination, preserving your memories and making cards will be effortless and enjoyable. You can see all of the different kits available this month here at My Creative Scrapbook.

Layle By Mail Season Pass Winter Spring 2.0 February Edition!

Today I’m sharing four cards made with the latest Layle By Mail Season Pass 2.0 for Winter/Spring. The paper pack includes (12) exclusive 12x12 double-sided papers (and the 12x12 cover sheet also has an additional pattern on the back side!). I also used the exclusive die cuts and wordstrip stickers on my designs.
From ringing in the new year in January, Valentine fun in February, and the magic of Spring in bloom, everything in the Winter/Spring Season Pass 2.0 is designed to help you capture the season’s most meaningful moments with ease and style. My focus today was creating four February/Valentine/Love themed cards.
This kit is ideal for documenting special moments or creating fun cards to celebrate the change of season with family and friends. The papers and die cuts are easy to separate into the different occasions, but are also perfectly coordinated to work together if you like.
I like to use the 3x4” journaling cards to create focal points for my designs. They are usually a solid color which makes them perfect for layering over busy pattern papers. Some even have printed sentiments so all you need to do is add embellishments!
The die cut pack also includes some labels perfect for personalizing your designs. You can add the name of the recipient or a sentiment. This label with the little heart print was perfect for layering with more die cut hearts.
The kit has everything you need to make all of my cards. The only items I added are the card bases, solid cardstock matts, adhesives and gems from my stash.
I think these cards will be great for sending love across the miles, and for celebrating anniversary or engagement news. Whatever you decide, you know it’s going to look great because everything is color matched and perfectly coordinated to work together.
Here's a photo of all four cards together so you can see the variety of things you can make.
I'll be sharing four more later in the month so stay tuned!
