Photography: Arctic Monkeys

A montage from my recent gig at Emirates Stadium to see Sheffield artists Arctic Monkeys perform hits from The Car tour. The Hives opened (“Hate to Say I Told You So” being a highlight) before Alex Turner and co played “Body Paint” and There’d Better be a Mirrorball, as well as classics like “Do I Wanna Know?”, “Brianstorm” and “Why do you Only Call me When you’re High?”

“Why is it,” he said, one time, at the subway entrance, “I feel I’ve known you so many years?”
“Because I like you,” she said, “and I don’t want anything from you.”

Taken from the dystopian classic Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Published in 1953, the story tells of a future society where any books are burnt upon discovery and those keeping them are punished.

Things to See: Edinburgh and Highlands

I was thinking of doing a Gr8at, but there were so many wonderful photos of my time in Scotland I just had to share plenty more. Alas, I didn’t get too close to the Loch Ness monster.

There are few places in my life that I’ve found more ruggedly beautiful than the Highlands of Scotland. The place is magical – it’s so far north, so remote, that sometimes it feels like you’ve left this world and gone to another.” Julia London

Have you been before? Feel free to tell me of your experiences.
