It’s been a while since I posted a sunset picture so have one from just yesterday.
It wasn’t the sunniest of days (for most of it) but when I had the chance to take a set of photos from the top of three different London rooftops I had to take it. First off was Horizon 22, which is even higher than the Shard. Then it was London’s highest public garden. Among the many flowers and plants in The Sky Garden are African Lily, Red Hot Poker and Bird of Paradise – alongside fragrant herbs such as French Lavender. Finally, it was time for The Garden at 120 on Fenchurch Street.

It’s great when my love of nature and photography come together. So when I saw these wonderful photographs on The Guardian from the winning entries of the Bird Photographer of the Year 2023, I just had to share them. Which is your favourite?

As someone who grew up a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, I just had to share this incredible shot of one from the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia. It was taken by specialist underwater photographer Aimee Jan, and won the Ocean Photographer of the Year 2021, as run by Oceanographic Magazine.
As I often say, nature really is incredible. And a big part of nature is the wonderful wildlife. So please enjoy these winners from 2020. Do you have a favourite? Can you guess the overall winner?

BBC nature show Winterwatch has encouraged viewers to send in photographs of the winter wildlife. These are the ones I prefer most. Do you have a favourite?
