Oops!

Will recently lost a tooth. I put it in his little tooth holder for him. He wanted to wear it around his neck which I knew was a bad idea, but I let him. As predicted, minutes later he came in crying that Bruce had lost it. "Now how is the tooth fairy going to bring me money?" Justin helped him draft this letter. I think he did a good job of helping Will make his expectations pretty clear to the Tooth Fairy.

Birthday celebration

We went to Ohio last weekend and celebrated Naomi's first birthday with family and friends. It was so fun to celebrate her birthday, but a little sad to see our little baby growing up.

Naomi isn't walking yet, but as you can see she is very close. Today I counted her taking eight steps in a row. She is walking between things more and more so I expect her to take off anyday and walk. She has really been getting into things more lately and leaves a path of destruction behind her wherever she goes.

Aaron's cousin's wife made this little cake for Naomi and a beautiful matching one for the rest of us to enjoy. Naomi needed a little help with the candle - she had plenty of it!

Naomi didn't want to touch the cake with her hands too much - she preferred to go for it face first! Everyone was laughing so hard as we watched her stick her face into the cake over and over!

Here's our birthday girl going with her Daddy to get all cleaned up. Yum, that was good cake!

Hunter Justin

Justin woke up this morning and noticed all of the squirrels running around in our backyard. He set a trap, but historically has not had any luck catching them with that so he decided to take more extreme measures: his BBgun. About two minutes after he went out, Bruce ran in holding this squirrel Justin shot. The boys were all so excited!

Birthday girl

I know I'm not going to have the time to update our blog tomorrow so I wanted to be the first to wish our little Naomi a Happy 1st Birthday! I can't believe how quickly this year has gone. I'm getting all teary eyed right now as I type. She is growing up too fast! We are going to Ohio this weekend to celebrate her birthday with Aaron's family so I will post more pictures later.

Christmas photos

I went through and put captions on all of the photos, but for some reason they didn't copy when I uploaded the slide show. Hence, no captions. To summarize, we had a great Christmas. Naomi loved all of the paper, bows, and boxes. Madelyn loves her new Bitty Baby. Bruce got a mini trampoline (we're hoping it will burn some energy) and a race track. Will loves his Egyptian pyramid and all of the little guys. Elizabeth is all girl: lots of clothes, jewelry, and crafts! Another Star Wars Lego set for Justin and his own camera. Most importantly, we loved the time together as a family during the holidays and celebrating the birth of our Savior.
