Ok, confession time: It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and really concentrated on writing Fix You. Over the course of the last few months, or year (as a reader pointed out in a review not so long ago), I have opened the Word doc for Chapter 20 of Fix You less than 5 times. It normally went something like this:

This question. I’ve been getting this exact question a lot, A LOT, in the last few weeks. To anyone worried that I had probably died or something, I am very much alive., I haven’t had any accidents, the family is great, I haven’t suffered a dramatic case of heartache, I’m perfectly healthy and contrary to popular belief I’m still here. I’ve been absent. Very absent. I am aware of that, but I swear I have a good few reasons behind it.
