Very early in my writing process I had outlined Shattered in it’s entirety and probably the half of Fix You and I was facing a dilemma. I had two ways the story could turn. Two ideas that were both very much stuck in my head and that I couldn’t shake off. The outcome of the story depended on this specific scene. I had no idea what to do.
The turning point was: Damon leaves in Fix You, and Bella feels betrayed by Stefan and Elena and she is forced to face the Cullens alone. Time goes by and Damon doesn’t show up, crap happens, she kills again, she is forced to go on the animal diet, she starts talking with Jasper, and Damon is nowhere to be seen.
How would Damon make his comeback?
