The Texas State Alumni Association cultivates Bobcat pride by offering fulfilling alumni involvement and engagement opportunities that highlight how the university’s current initiatives add value to every Texas State degree. Through event attendance, advocacy, student recruitment and charitable giving, alumni strengthen the Bobcat community and bolster Texas State’s reputation.
This event series is designed with graduating seniors in mind, providing a valuable opportunity for them to meet established alumni in the cities they’re considering for relocation or launching their careers.

Janie Strother attended Southwest Texas State Teachers College from 1941 to 1945. The oldest known living TXST alum, she shares her memories of student life, classes, and the impact of World War II.
