escalators
If only these escalators had arrived a little sooner—
Back when I was a bit younger.
Climbing up and down stairs—at the office, at home, in shops, and in the market—my knees have worn out.
Had this convenience been available earlier,
how much easier this daily hustle and bustle would have been.
And…
I wouldn’t have had to wear a fake smile just to hide my pain.

Is it genuine or fake
Do you hate being alone or enjoy solitude
Pardon my curiosity
As
Some smile more
To hide their pain
A tough climb ahead
There’s still a long way to go
Pray for endurance
To reach my destination
With contentment and a smile
