I was probably about 6 or 7 years old. It was in Bellflower at the little house my sister lived in off of Grand Ave. It was there that I learned how to dance. I thought about this moment, early this morning as I laid in bed and had the random thought of “who taught me how to dance?” Oh, the questions that plague my mind. haha. So I thought back to summer of 1991 and remembered seeing her. The woman I thought was possibly the coolest woman EVER… I mean next to Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey, she was up there. My sister loved life, and dancing. She was in her living room, all dressed up. She was always dressed to impress. I remember her wearing her cowboy boots. She had the music playing and was dancing in the living room. She was doing every move, the Roger Rabbit, the Cabbage Patch , Running Man and the Electric Slide. Seriously, my sister was a dancing pro. Little did she know that three little girls were watching her as she busted a move out on her living room floor. She then saw us and called us onto the floor, to teach us her moves. I felt like I was being filmed for a music video on VH1! Of course I went home and practiced those dances myself, after all I wanted to be like my totally RAD sister! Thanks for teaching me how to dance Sis!

Happy Friday! Have a little fun and dance!
