Came across this little fella today, would have been nicer if he was bobbing and weaving and doing his stuff, alas he wasn’t. I was working at the “Chealsea flower show Gold Medal” award winning McBeans Orchids, just outside Lewes, East Sussex.
The Stoat (Mustela erminea) was probably seeking prey within the greenhouses, may have consumed something nasty. Sad to see a beautiful animal like this, just lying motionless….
