Boy, to think that this is my first post for the year would come 3 weeks into 2009 … sometimes I almost feel I’ve forgotten the art of blogging (if i ever had it at all).
It’s been a really hectic start to the year. Mostly it’s been occupied with lots of work and little play. Just got back from Karachi after spending almost 10 days there. After clocking in a personal record number of work hours in a week, it’s just good to be back on home soil. Basically, it’s a bit of reprieve from the frenzy, to come back home for the Chinese New Year celebrations. But that isn’t quite the whole story. After returning from the week long CNY holidays, add a couple more of days to it .. and i’ll be zipping right back to wintery Pakistan for another few weeks. I’m certainly going to be missing a whole lot of yee-sang sessions this 2009. Hmmm… but come to think of it, i won’t complain too much … since I’m usually the one obliged to dish out the ang-pows to everyone at the table.
We’ll be hitting the road tomorrow for what i hope to be a good time of reunions, laughter and memories to be made. This will be Ryan’s first time meeting his great grandparents in Setiawan too. 🙂 We’re all looking forward to it. And to get back to Penang to spend time with the rest of the Low’s is always a blast. The 3 lil’ nephews get more playtime!
I do hope to write a little bit more when i can, but the main thing on my mind lately has been work and deadlines… not quite my idea of bloggable content. So we’ll see what comes up for 2009. Thanks for reading … stay tuned.
