tonight i made some yummy, delicious, tasty, AND appetizing dinner.
i made some pesto [with a recipe from JCB XVII] with rice noodles [sprinkled with sun-dried tomatoes]. it was eaten with some carrots and a spring mix salad with shredded cheese, dried cranberries, and some raspberry vinaigrette. i had an arcadia ales amber ale [out of battle creek, mi], but it wasn’t the best pairing for this meal. i would suggest a brown ale [like newcastle or a wine instead].

I love to recycle. I love to find new uses for old junk, maybe to a fault.
I wish I lived in a larger city. I would dumpster dive. I like finding stuff on the side of the road. I have a hard time saying no to free stuff. I like to garage sale. I like going through my house and filling bags for goodwill or to give away.
There are communities of free recycling all over the nation called the freecycle network. You post information about something you have to offer or are looking for and people can respond. For example, I am going to give away my bike. So, I posted on our freecycle site that I have a crappy mountain bike that needs a good home. I posted it last night. As of this afternoon, I have more than five people who want it. So, I just email them and tell them to come pick it up. I get to help someone who needs it, and sometimes they get to help me.
You should see if there is one in your city. Here’s some more info. As they say, one person’s junk is another person’s treasure.
