  • Edit: I love this game but this game needs new levels controller support and new modes.

This game need controller support like ps5 Xbox or third party controllers. And add new modes like survival mode vs mode boss rush new levels and story and events. Oh and no more 3d graphics. And add the horde mode music like war by the blood poets, jewels and sound of mind Flynn effect. And The sword of unspoken misc by tower of fire. Add this content to revive this franchise for me please🥺 Oh and by the way the audio and sound effects and voice clips are low quality can you make the audio high quality on the next update please. From Ray Ramirez aka your halfbrick fan.

  • My childhood but…

There have too much ads, please remove ads because why ruin a childhood you built to just ruin it. Your doing the Great but please add my features and remove ads. Us people want to re live our childhoods. Not to mention how you need to buy in order to play or spend 30 minutes just to realize you needed to buy a pass just to play. I would rated a 5 but why? Why do this to us? Please remove ads and let us not have to pay anything? Also you said AD-Free.

Ok, before I begin, thank you halfbrick for making an update for one of your biggest games. You had all the right intensions, but somewhere everything went wrong... If you can then MAKE season 1 again, I am aware it will cost you but its for the greater good. Most of us fans really loved this franchise but their amends have not been yet satisfied. Even i loved it, so i went to the app store to re-download this game but this update had been there saying season two of the game is there instead of the first, but what have i been saying!? This isnt a review! Ok, about this new update, i have no way to play multiplayer except for split-screen, you say, "different look, same great taste" that reference only applies to food or anything non-constantual authentications not something that changes alot, only a little. The new graphics are pretty bad, in accordance to the credibility of halfbrick's 16-bit masterpieces i.e. Jetpack Joyride, Monster Dash, KEEP TO THE AWESOME 16-bit GRAPHICS FOR BARRY STEAKFRIES! Changing the graphics for this means changing for the whole series. The point is, keep everything else, JUST CHANGE THE GRAPHICS TO HOW IT USED TO BE.

  • Great, but...

This game is really fun, the story mode is pretty much perfect. The only problems are with hoard mode. The idea is great and it is really fun, except it is too hard. I had the game before the update where the sentry guns would spawn, and it was a lot better than the latter. The bosses and sentrys were a good addition but the main reason why the new update is so hard is because absolutely NOTHING spawns for you to pick up. At all. The main reason this game is so good is because of its creative use of the pickups (in my opinion). This makes the achievement to get to round 15 almost impossible. My highest round is 7. The level of difficulty increase in the rounds would be perfect IF the pickup crates spawned. Besides that it is perfect. 2-Player mode is great as well. But its pretty much useless unless you have an ipad. With phones the screens just get so small. I think it would be great if you could play over wifi or internet :).⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • great game, misguided "update"

The game itself is a solid, if mindless, twin-stick shooter against a massive horde of zombies. Although the story plays out against different time periods, the gameplay is pretty much the same throughout, aside from the fun bosses. There's a good variety of guns and other powerups, but the real draw here is the character Barry Steakfries and his cheesy action hero one-liners. Great writing throughout, with plenty of pop culture nods and in-jokes.The latest graphical "upgrade" was a huge downgrade. The original version of the game featured highly detailed retro pixel graphics, something Halfbrick does extremely well (Jetpack Joyride is a great example of how 16-bit pixel graphics can ooze detail and charm). They've been replaced by these blocky, minecraft-esque 3D models that look a lot worse--the zombies' arms aren't even attached to their bodies. I only took off 1 star because the game is still the same, but I hope that this oversight gets corrected in a future update.

  • Another simple and fun game

The story of the game is pretty simple, and the help text to help you through the learning process is done well. There's a variety of scenes and weapons that you can use to kill zombies of many different types. There are basically two controls (or maybe two-and-a-half, when you're using the button for throwing grenades). One control moves Barry, the other one controls whether he is firing and what direction he is firing in. Both of these work something like joysticks. This doesn't always work well for me, because I keep sliding my thumbs around more than I should, and eventually end up with Barry not-shooting when I want him to be shooting, but that isn't really the fault of the game. It usually takes me awhile to get my thumbs out of position, and until I mess that up I have a lot of fun playing. Well worth the money.
