I am reviewing the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible (1977 text) from Zondervan. I am a member of Bible Gateway Blogger Grid and I received this Bible complimentary for an honest review.

Well, I had never heard of the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible and there are some things I liked and some I didn’t. First, I chained the word “fruit” and was able to find where it is located throughout the Bible. I am still learning how to use the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible. The Thompson Chain-Reference Bible is great for a reference Bible. I would not recommend it as an everyday Bible because the sidebars on every page are full of scripture references, which I found confusing if I were to use it daily.

I would recommend the Thompson Chain-Reference Bible to the serious Bible scholar.

The NASB Adventure Bible would make a great gift for young readers. I am reading Exodus and love the comfort print. There are boxes on most pages that help the child dig deeper into the Word. The boxes include one of the following in a box: Life in Bible Times, Live It!, Words to Treasure, Did You Know?
