Review: Sword of the Matchmaker

Sword of the Matchmaker is a medieval historical romance by author Debbie Lynne Costello. It’s my pleasure to have read an ARC of this book. The printed version has a different cover than the one I reviewed. I am surprised there are so few reviews done of this wonderful book. I was at first concerned I would have problems reading it with the terminology, there is a glossary to help with that. I need not have worried as I had very little problems and didn’t use the glossary.

This is an exciting, page-turning novella. My favorite character was Lady Brithwin who did her best to play matchmaker. Warrior Penelope Beatty had sworn off marriage in lieu of being the best warrior in the year 1399. Thomas Godfrey was no match against Penelope.

This was my second read of this novella and I was satisfied with the ending.
