from the “Love Is Everything We Need” music video.

“These last couple years, we, as believers, have had to have some really strong conversations because in our culture, we find it hard to disagree on certain things, and still love and be kind to each other,” says Unspoken lead vocalist Chad Mattson, revealing the impetus behind the new song. “There is this polarization of beliefs, yet Jesus reveals to us in John chapter 13 that it’s love that identifies us with being his kids.

“We can disagree, but we can all agree on the fact that we need to love and respect each other, even when we are at different places in our lives politically, socially, even religiously,” continues Mattson. “‘Love Is Everything We Need’ is a song of encouragement for believers, to find ways to love each other even when we don’t see eye to eye on everything. Our love is one of the biggest testimonies we have.”

Love, love, love, love Love is everything we need

Love, love, love, love Love is what we’re called to be

We may not see eye to eye

But tell me can’t we all agree

Love, love, love, love Love is everything

Love is everything we need

(Lyrics from “Love Is Everything We Need” chorus)

“Love Is Everything We Need” follows 2019’s acclaimed, bestselling album Reason, which sparked several radio hits, including the multiformat No. 1 title track and Top 20 singles “You’ve Always Been” and “Just Give Me Jesus.”

The album featured “Start A Fire,” the band’s first radio single and No. 1 AC hit that launched them into headliner positions on tour the following year. The band’s sophomore album, Follow Through (2016), debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard Top Christian Album Chart while its current album, Reason (2019), sparked the band’s biggest, multiformat No. 1 hit so far, “Reason.” Unspoken’s Top 10 AC hits include: “Who You Are,” “Lift My Life Up,” “Good Fight” and “You’ve Always Been.” Having toured with TobyMac, Casting Crowns, Mercy Me, Big Daddy Weave and more, Unspoken band members are living out their mission to be unspoken testimonies to God’s love and power, and to speak what oftentimes goes unspoken.

TRINITY RELEASES DESERT RAIN (FEB. 25)

First Album To Be Released Internationally In Over Two Years

From These “Craftsmen Of Heavenly Parties”

Awards-winning, Netherlands-based band Trinity releases Desert Rain globally Feb. 25 from The Fuel Music. First released in the Netherlands in 2016, and having already received three Dutch, Silver Dove Awards, including “Album Of The Year,” the album is available to pre-save / pre-add now via https://slinky.to/DesertRain. The recording from these “craftsmen of heavenly parties” mixes music styles from all over the world to create a magnetic sound, blending genres into an eclectic music experience that is sweet to the ears and uplifting to the soul.

The world-music pop flair of Desert Rain was inspired by the band’s travels internationally, jamming with immigrant-musicians wherever they were in time and space. The resulting warm-blooded, passionate rhythms and melodies are steeped with lyrics birthed in real-life stories, all offering hope for a brighter future.

“When we recorded Desert Rain, we set out to create an album that captures our experiences and faith in songs; an album that shows both the darkness of the world we live in and the light piercing through it,” says Trinity’s Elbert Smelt (lead vocals, flutes, saxophone). “It shares the conviction that we as human beings are meant for more. When people make peace, join hands and stand against injustice, and feel hope rising up — when someone is healed and when you hear beautiful music: then the real world is visible.”

The lead single from the album, “Metropolitain,” written with Senegal-based artist Bernard Cissa and featuring lyrics in both English and French, is available now at digital retail and streaming outlets everywhere.

“I think I have a love-hate relationship with cities,” says Elbert, who crafted the song’s chorus while in Paris, France. “The city is this creativity-magnet just for the buzz. But it will drive you crazy just as easily. If you can’t keep up in the rat race you end up in the gutter. At the same time cities can be birthplaces of art, culture and new ideas that help humanity improve life.”

Je suis un metropolitain; Je prie, je mange, je me repose pas

(“Metropolitain” chorus English translation:

I am a city dweller, I pray, I eat, I never rest.)

The full Desert Rain track listing follows:

1. Desert Rain
2. Rise Again
3. Metropolitain
4. A Miracle
5. Satellite Television
6. The Way That I Do
7. El Sonido De Mi Tierra
8. It’s All Gonna Change
9. Shooting Stars
10. We Are Born

The first album released internationally in over two years, Desert Rain precedes a series of new recordings and appearances from Trinity slated for this year and to be announced soon. It also follows 2019’s globally acclaimed album The In Between that was produced by Grammy-nominated, multiple Dove Award-winning Ian Eskelin and Barry Weeks. Katy Nichole Debuts “In Jesus Name (God Of Possible)” Single

New Artist Signs Label (Centricity Music), Management (Steve Ford),

Booking (Jeff Roberts Agency) Representation

Socials Organically Explode Following Release Of Single’s Chorus

“If I had one thing that I could say to people, it’s that God is a God of healing”

– Katy Nichole

Singer/songwriter, and new Centricity Music signee, Katy Nichole swiftly turned into a viral sensation thanks to her debut single, “In Jesus Name (God of Possible).” Becoming a sound-track for millions on TikTok and Instagram before being released to digital and streaming outlets internationally last week, the song was penned in the midst of a global health crisis and found its genesis in Katy’s own story of suffering, hope, and healing.

Sharing her unwavering belief in God’s ability to heal and the power of prayer, Katy’s debut single is connecting with audiences around the world who are looking for healing and restoration in a weary and anxious world. In just a few short months following her post of the “In Jesus Name (God of Possible)” chorus on TikTok, the song had been heard more than 80 million times. The chorus was inspired by one of Katy’s multiple journal entries that proclaims, I pray for your healing / That circumstances would change / I pray that the fear inside would flee / In Jesus name / I pray that a breakthrough would happen today / I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name.”

Enlisting David Spencer and Grammy®-nominated songwriters Ethan Hulse and Jeff Pardo to help her finish the song, Katy says, “This song is one of the greatest gifts God could ever give me. I want to be a good, faithful servant to the Lord. I’m just grateful to be His vessel.”

“Katy is a special and rare combination of vocalist and songwriter all wrapped in an incredible story of God’s faithfulness,” says John Mays, Senior Vice President of A&R, Centricity Music. “That story is woven through every song and every step of her journey in some way, and we feel privileged and excited to now become some part of the work God is so obviously doing through her life and music.”

“Katy’s story is such a reflection of God’s grace in her life. It permeates every song she writes and every song she sings,” says Steve Ford, who stepped away from his role as General Manager of Centricity Music to manage Katy Nichole, as well as Centricity Music band Unspoken. “There is such authenticity and originality in her art that I wanted to be involved in any way I could.”

“We met Katy around a year ago and were impressed with her love for God and the hard work she’s shown to pursue this calling,” says Jeff Roberts, Founder, Jeff Roberts Agency. “She’s an incredibly gifted young writer with the talent to translate those songs to the live environment. She’s also surrounded by a great team, and we’re looking forward to where the Lord leads this journey in the years ahead.”

Prior to writing “In Jesus Name (God of Possible),” Katy was diagnosed with scoliosis and underwent surgery to straighten her spine, which led to persistent post-surgery pain that sent her into a bedridden mental and emotional spiral. Three years later, Katy went back in for an operation to essentially remove the metal rods and screws that had been placed in her back.

“I go into the second surgery, and I come out of it, and the smoke cloud of depression was gone. I encountered the Lord in that moment,” Katy remembers. “When I got my X-rays after surgery, my spine was actually straighter than when the rods had been in it. So when I say that God can do miracles, I mean it, because I’ve seen it.”

Serving as both an ambassador for the Shriners Hospitals for Children® and as a volunteer for Musicians On Call, her healing has also emboldened her to be an advocate for others facing health challenges. It’s further given her a new direction for her music—and her life.

“There’s no story that doesn’t matter to God. Every story was written by Him, and He’s the greatest author of all time,” Katy declares. “God’s healed me, so I know He can heal someone else. I’m going to share my story and hope it will encourage others to go and share theirs.”

While her first single is a worshipful anthem ready-made for roomfuls of people to sing, it only reveals one facet of this multidimensional artist who is working on her debut album now, again drawing from her journal and well of life experiences.

About Katy Nichole:

Long before TikTok was even a social platform, Katy was singing in her church choir. By 14, she was writing songs and leading worship. Her relationship with both music and God is inextricably intertwined with her path to health and wholeness. At the invitation of Josh Havens, lead singer for The Afters, Katy began leading worship at The Grove in Phoenix, AZ, where Havens serves as a Worship & Arts Pastor. Havens saw something in Katy she couldn’t even see in herself at the time. She began writing, recording and posting her music online, which eventually led to her making a move to Nashville and landing a label home with Centricity Music.

Planetboom’s third album, You, Me, The Church, That’s Us – Side A

Dear Friends,

The dynamic, multicultural youth ministry of Planetshakers Churchplanetboom, releases its third album, You, Me, The Church, That’s Us – Side A, (Jan. 14) from Venture3Media (V3M).

The diverse youth culture at planetboom that represents at least 60 nationalities translates the mission of Planetshakers Church into eclectic music that creates a unique space for an international audience to find an intimate sense of belonging as part of the church family. Still just scratching the surface of their sonic identity, You, Me, The Church, That’s Us – Side A was produced by creative director Josh Ham, mixed by worship leader Joth Hunt and written or co-written by Ham, worship leader, vocalist / rapper Noah Walker and planetboom youth pastor, songwriter, author and drummer Andy Harrison.

“With the new album, we would love for people to walk away with their minds opened a little bit to what a praise and worship expression can sound like,” says Harrison. “It is unique from almost anything else in the praise and worship genre. It might surprise people, and they might say, ‘Wow! OK, we can worship God like that, we can praise God like that.’ Everything we are doing is to lead young people to an encounter with God.”

Recorded at the planetboom conference held April 2021 and in Planetshakers’ Melbourne studio, the combination of tightly crafted studio arrangements and live worship creates a dynamic record that ranges from big, broad statements about the church family, to intimate, personal moments between individuals and God.

Intended to be listened top to bottom, with each song leading purposefully into the next, the album opens with the raucous, rhythmic rapper “The Core” and moves through a varied, yet cohesive set consisting of tracks like the plaintive, worshipful “Back To Life” led by Aimee Walker, the Noah Walker-led upbeat studio pop song “I Believe” and the proclamatory “That’s Us.” The latter song inspired the album title and is a catchphrase that, according to Harrison, allows students and leaders to find identity within the ministry.

“What we’re getting at is that what God has done in each of us individually has joined us to be part of this broader family,” Harrison says. “We have people from every different nationality…standing together, arms around each other.

“We have noticed that young people are listening to whole albums and experiencing music again, which is exciting for me as a musician. I love that, and it is a bit nostalgic,” adds Harrison. “We have a lot of songs, a lot of creativity, and we wanted to be able to express all of this. When we were recording, we thought, ‘why stop? Let’s record these songs together,’ and that’s going to flow into the next side, side B, as well.”

Side B of the album was recorded at the latest planetboom conference held (Jan. 10) in Melbourne and is scheduled to release April, 2022. The new music adds to the linear fashion of the tracklist, and is meant to move listeners directly from the Side A, soul soaking last track, “Selah Moment,” into the next phase of worship.

The full You, Me, The Church, That’s Us – Side A track listing follows:

1. The Core

2. Jesus God A Hold Of Me

3. That’s Us

4. I Believe

5. Nothing On You

6. A Moment With You (Live)

7. Back To Life (Live)

Awaken Worship, “Come What May” Single

Dear Friends,

San Diego-based collective Awaken Music (formally Awaken Worship), from the 10,000 member, multi-campus Awaken Church, releases “Come What May” Jan. 14 via The Fuel Music. The single declares a staunch, steadfast trust in the Lord regardless of circumstances. The anthemic new chorus is meant to encourage Christians in 2022 and harkens back to bold praises heard in songs like “Blessed Be Your Name.”

“‘Come What May’ is a rallying cry for people facing trial and tribulation and is a stake in the ground that gives people the vocabulary of praise,” shares Mike Yeager, who leads Awaken Music, is the Eastlake Campus Pastor and co-wrote the new song with Deshauwn Tagliareni and Providence Cordell. “The first verse alludes to Jericho falling and talks about praising when everything is going right and victories are being had, and the second verse talks about praising in drought seasons when you are expecting God to move.”

Like its recent Lionheart (Deluxe) album, “Come What May” was produced by GRAMMY Award-nominated Stephen Blake Kanicka (Kanye West, for KING & COUNTRY, Danny Gokey) and mixed by David Cook (Chris Tomlin, Zach Williams, Shawn Mendes).
Providence Cordell

And like the album, the new single represents Awaken Church’s fierce stance on the importance of gathering together as believers to encourage and support one another. In August 2020, the church became one of the first to open its doors in California after pandemic lockdowns in order to support and minister to their community that was wrestling with rising cases of drug abuse, suicide and a host of other mental and physical ailments. Growing from 8,000 to 10,000 members during this time, and ministering to 25,000 people online, the church found courage and strength in the lyrics and melodies being created by its worship team.

As new melodies are carried out into the world, Awaken Music hopes people will find encouragement to join in the outworking of God’s plan, being active and hopeful in their mission and purpose as Christians.
