Tomorrow

I will be trying my hand at Vertical Drama Series pitching. I have two scripts, started work on a third, and just completed attendance of a Vertical Conference online. It was very informative.

If you’re wondering what a Vertical Drama Series is – I’d recommend:

One of the few articles that details it without a paywall.

These are my storylines I’ll be pitching:

A devout punk media founder, trying to endure an interview with a flamboyant rock star who performs as a demon, is enraged when he recognizes her as his long-lost fallen angel lover, compelling him to win back the woman who asked God to make her forget her identity.

A hippy spiritualist returns to her estranged family to make amends with her dying mother, only to find the family still haunted by the time she tried to poison her mother for stealing the love of her life.

A bored millionaire crashes his high school reunion, to discover the timid girl he once rejected is now a captivating pole dancing celebrity who finds the rich jet setting business man to be a snooze fest. To win her heart he must strip his identity and locate his own heart to romance her, and before she finds true love in another.

Would storyline do you like best?

My first Podcast interview?

This is my *very first* interview as a writer-director, and ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จโ€ฆ.

I really like the writer whose podcast this is, so when she asked me for an interview I jumped to do it. But then, I thought โ€˜Wait a minuteโ€ฆ do I know how to do an interview?โ€

Well, itโ€™s done now. In the end it was like just talking with a young friend.

Still, maybe I shoulda been more formal.

From His Heart to Your Soul

It’s been a while since I’ve been on my blog. Trying to find my way. Maintain, end, begin certain things, put off for way too long. But in the last 10 years I lost mother, father, grandmother, and my brother.

Leaving me struggling in MANY way. But I’ve been discovering alot about myself – both good and bad.

Anyway I heard something earlier that spoke to me in such a deep way, I wanted to share it.

This lil’ bruh deserves his props for this performance and writing, because here we are living very different lives, different age groups, but his words stirred me up so much I cried.

Art is so powerful. Anyway, check him out:

A Thought…

Being loved by and loving someone appreciative of love, without judgement, without manipulation, confusion at, or inability to return it..

โ€ฆ is lifeโ€™s top flex.

Itโ€™s where you feel God. And like eating after a lifetime of ravenous hunger. Because if you know how to love, and what it’s like to be loved, living without it is like a desert.

And itโ€™s not โ€œhardโ€ and time is of the essence.

Landed Somewhere

Interested in how… people survive their traumas.
Those who do something with it instead of steeping in it till it consumes them, seem to fare well.

23 years ago while in a mental institution, Sachiko Abe had a paper-cut habit often accompanied with suicidal tendencies and self-harm behavior. To help her heal herself, her doctor allowed her to cut and cut paper, which she would engage in up to 10 hours a day. The idea was that, it could actually help her heal herself.

Later Sachiko made this habit into performance art and attracted the attention of multiple top-level art galleries around the world.

Inspiration.

Wishlist?

More and more I am wanting to escape to a place where silence and simplicity meet to offer a different landscape than the one I exist in presently.

That often manifests as somewhere with offerings of nature. But also cultivated beauty…

This place is definitely on my wishlist.

(Though, I wonder how WOC friendly it would be.)

Reblogged. (Certainly…)

This.

People of color, indigenous, LGBTQUI, immigrants, the aging, women, and children all get the shaft in this country – at one juncture or the other.

So when anyone speaks up on their behalf I listen, especially if they put some meddle behind it.

This man is one such person, attractive and high profile, he puts a sweet face

to the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement, educators, and modern historians who push to balance the scales and decolonize narrativesย (soย we stand as equals facing eachย other).

It’s a message for everyone, young, old, black, white, any ethnicity. And I particularly like his message to young black people who are culture-media junkies, no responsibility over culture in their walk. Because that has to stop, too.

Anyway, hurry up before it’s censored.
