I woke up early this morning at 4:30 a.m excited for your arrival. It has been a long day coming and your dad and I are so excited to see what you look like. I walked into your big sisters room and kissed her goodbye. Even though she is only 18 months old she knows who you are. She would kiss my belly and waive to you and say "Hi TyTy". I know she will be the best big sister to you.
We arrived at the hospital at 6:30 a.m and got settled in our room. I was prepped and ready to go. Your Grandma and Grandpa Wood and Grandma Shapiro were there waiting to see your face. Around 7:55 I heard your sweet little cry for the first time. My eyes filled up with tears. Your sweet dad put your face next to mine and it was love at first sight. You look just like your sister. Big blue eyes and lots of black hair. You weighed 7lbs and 10 oz. And have the cutest cry. I got back to my room and everyone had held you but me. When they finally bathed you and got you clean, they brought you to me. Oh my goodness son, how darling you are. My first words to you were "Hello my son". I love to say son. I couldn't believe how alert you were. Big eyes staring right into mine. You knew who I was and I was proud. So I cuddled you the rest of the day.
You had many visitors come to see you. Your sweet cousins Jaden, Easton, and Addi. Your uncles Jordan and Dallin, your Aunty HayHay, Hills, Whitney, Aunt Tonya and Uncle Randall, Grandma and Grandpa Wood and your Grandma Shapiro. We sure miss PaPa Shapiro dearly! And even though he wasn't here to meet you we know your paths crossed before you came to see us.
Your big sister came to the hospital to see you just hours after you were born. She had a shirt on that said I'm a Big Sister Today. The first thing she said was "Hi TyTy". She was in love with you from the start. She loved on you and gave you kisses and held your sweet little hand. She pulled your hair, poked you in the eye and then pointed to your eyes and said "Yeyes". She can't keep her hands off of you. She will be your biggest fan, I'm sure of it.
We shared a wonderful 3 days in the hospital together and really got to snuggle each other. Your dad just loves you. He talks to you and cuddles you and loves you more than you know. We were released on Saturday May 26th and we were excited to share our lives with you.
Your Grandma Shapiro was oh so kind to stay with us for another few weeks to help. She was such a big help and we were soooooooo thankful for her during this time. She loves you so much and cuddled you just as much or more than mommy did. She made us dinners and played with your sister and made sure we were all doing just fine. We were so sad when she left. But we will see her in a few months.
At 3 weeks old you slept through the night. I was amazed. I was so happy and hoped it would continue and it definitely has. You're the best baby. Always so alert and looking around constantly. You respond to your mommy and daddy and more so to your big sister. You listen so intently to her jibber jabber and you probably understand more than we do!
Son. I hope you know how much we love you. We promise to always be there for you and provide for you. We will teach you, and laugh with you, we will do fun things together, and we will always make sure you know you're loved. We thank our Heavenly Father for blessing us with such a perfect son. I'm excited to see you progress and grow up. I'm excited to watch you interact with your sister and watch you learn all of the new things there is to learn! But most of all my sweet son, I'm excited to be your mom!
We love you to the moon and back,
Mom & Dad
