I have to say that in the first part of my life the only discrimination that I experienced was from not being from a rich family. Do not get me wrong, we were upper middle class as a boy but I had mates that were a lot richer than me. One of my said mates, that was bigger – I am six foot three while he was at least 6’5, once got a bit rough with me whilst play fighting so I threw him to the ground. He got very haughty and ended up shouting at me, “look at this, you grass-stained my jeans”! Least to say, I didn’t even own a pair of jeans when I was that age.
