We have published the mid-term review of the National Return to Work Strategy 2020-2030 - 5 years after it was released. The review shows there is improved national collaboration and the effective engagement with stakeholders to improve return to work outcomes. While feedback on work under the Strategy has been positive, return to work outcomes do not appear to be improving. Key findings: ✅ Strong support for national initiatives and research ⚠️ Mixed data results on progress against strategic outcomes 🧠 Concerns over rising psychological injury claim rates 📈 Improvements to data and measurement are underway The Strategy remains fit for purpose and will continue guiding national efforts to support injured workers. 👉 Read the full report: https://lnkd.in/dfbGVMAZ

Safe Work Australia leads the development of national policy to improve work health and safety and workers’ compensation
About us
Safe Work Australia leads the development of national policy to improve work health and safety and workers’ compensation arrangements across Australia. It is jointly funded by the Commonwealth, state and territory governments through an Intergovernmental Agreement. As a national policy body Safe Work Australia does not regulate work health and safety laws. The Commonwealth, states and territories retain responsibility for regulating and enforcing work health and safety laws in their jurisdiction. Safe Work Australia works to: • raise awareness of work health and safety as a key issue in the community • improve work health and safety, by understanding what influences Australian workplace cultures and then putting in place mechanisms to effect change • unify work health and safety laws throughout Australia • develop national work health and safety and workers’ compensation policy, and • identify opportunities for improvement in workers’ compensation arrangements. Such a fun way to celebrate National #SafeWorkMonth! Thanks Adelaide Oval ☕💛
Throughout October, AOMSA proudly celebrated National Safe Work Month, championing this year’s theme — Safety: Every Job, Every Day. Across the month, our teams have been sharing key safety messages, learning new skills and reinforcing what safety means in our workplace. From infographics and Health & Safety Representative led videos, to our hazard reporting competition and hands-on training with our trusted partners Tactical Training Australia and St John Ambulance SA Ltd, it’s been fantastic to see so many people get involved. We finished the month on a high with our SafeTea celebration - morning tea, friendly competition and plenty of laughs as teams battled it out in the Great SafeT Race 🦺🏆. Huge congratulations to our Golden Hard Hat champions and to everyone who got involved! Thank you you to all our employees, HSRs and partners who helped make this year’s National Safe Work Month such a success! #NationalSafeWorkMonth Safe Work Australia SafeWork SA

November = Movember 🥸 It’s a time to recognise men’s mental health. 🚹 Did you know? Between the period of 2008-09 to 2022-23p there were over 56,000 serious mental health claims made by men. Employers must manage the risks to workers’ mental health in the same way as physical risks. This includes eliminating or minimising hazards like high job demands, low job control, and bullying, in the workplace as much as possible – and creating safer and healthier work for all. 🧠 Learn more about managing mental health hazards on our website - https://lnkd.in/gPHBt9QG #Movember

At ConnellGriffin, we believe safety is everyone’s responsibility. Whether in the office, on-site, or on the move, we’re committed to creating an environment where people feel safe, supported, and empowered to speak up. Wow! So many great entries. 🥰 Thanks for sharing a #SafeTea as well Bestbar Reinforcements ☕💛
“I want my family to come home safe from work so we can laugh, eat dinner, play together… because I love them.” That simple message from one of our National Safe Work Month colouring competition entries says it all. Every job, every day, safety is about people. It's about making sure everyone gets home to what matters most. Throughout October, our teams across the country took time to reflect on what safety really means, not just through toolbox talks but through conversation. Each branch hosted a “Safe-Tea”, creating space to share experiences, ideas and improvements that help keep our people safe. And our kids reminded us why we do it. Their drawings and words captured the purpose of safety in a way only they can. Safe Work Australia

Excellent message Detail Facility Management, also love the cups! ☕💛
October is National Safe Work Month 2025 – a time when workplaces across Australia come together to strengthen their commitment to health, safety and wellbeing. To mark the month, Detail Facility Management hosted a SafeTea event, inspired by the WorkSafe Australia initiative that encourages teams to gather over a cuppa and start real conversations about Work Health and Safety. SafeTea is all about slowing down, connecting and having honest discussions about how we can look after ourselves and one another at work. During our session, we each painted our own cup with what safety means to us, a creative reminder that safety is personal, and that every voice matters. It was a fun, mindful and meaningful afternoon, reminding us that building a strong safety culture doesn’t just happen in formal meetings, it also happens through shared moments, shared stories, and shared responsibility. Together, we make work safer. #SafeWorkMonth #SafeTea #WHS #WorkplaceSafety #SafetyCulture #WellbeingAtWork #NationalSafeWorkMonth2025
