We’re also investing in the next generation, supporting rising stars through the high-performance pathway, Green2Gold2Great - because we’re committed to seeing more Aussies compete on the world stage. 120 days to go. It was only two years ago images like this this seemed like a lifetime away. The recent 2026 Santos Ltd Wheelchair Rugby World Challenge was a significant step forward for us on so many levels. Some of the key highlights are as follows: 📺 Broadcast both domestically and internationally through our friends and partners Kayo Sports & Foxtel Media 🇦🇺 ANZAC match (our first ever) and beautifully designed commemorative jersey 🏟️ Incredible venue, crowds and colourful support 🌍 Hosting international teams from Brazil, USA, Great Britain, Germany and Kenya ✈️ A small sport like ours taking over one of the nations largest airports. We couldn’t be missed! 🤝 Most significantly, many meaningful and integrated partnerships that made it all possible. Mim Haysom GAICD liked thisMim Haysom GAICD liked thisLast week I celebrated my 19th Googleversary! It’s been a wild ride! Growing up in Western Sydney, a career in tech wasn't even on my radar. The internet didn’t exist when I was at school, and my path into this industry only started because I eventually got curious and put my hand up for an early internet project while working in financial services. If we want the next generation to have equally fulfilling careers and help us design what comes next, encouraging curiosity in STEM is super important. We need to create those early moments of spark for a wider group of kids. That’s the only way we can make sure that we have more diverse voices involved in shaping the future of AI and tech! As Australian Schools Plus CEO Sherrill Nixon said: “When a young woman sees herself reflected in a STEM pathway, mirrored by someone who looks like her and started where she started, possibility becomes real.” Through our partnership with Schools Plus, we’re helping fund programs like Maitland Grossmann High School’s Orbispace Initiative, in the Hunter Valley. A few of our Google engineers headed up there last week, along with Jennifer R Baker, an absolute superstar of STEM, to take part in these hands-on workshops aimed at bringing real-world problem-solving to life. Check out the pics below! Over the years, this partnership has supported a number of projects across the country, ranging from high-tech primary makerspaces in Tasmania to establishing collaborative STEM hubs in Queensland and Western Sydney. It’s pretty awesome to see what Schools Plus is achieving: ✅ In 2025 alone: The programs reached 50 low-ICSEA schools and 18,400 students. 🌏 For 2026: They've expanded the effort to support more than 13,000 students across 14 schools, with a real focus on ethical AI, teacher leadership, and STEM aspiration. This work is backed by a $3 million grant from Google.org to champion equitable education nationwide - something we’re really proud to be involved in. Big thanks to our Google teams for leaning into this, led by Marie Efstathiou.

With the release of the State of Advertising report for Australia, we continue to see advertiser confidence up this year: 87% of advertisers have increased their TV investment in 2025. McDonald's, Harvey Norman and Youi are the top advertisers in Australia. We also saw brands taking starkly different strategies in each industry. For example, Aldi boosted TV by 52%, leaning into its long-running brand campaign "Good Different," while Woolworths decreased TV by 19%, shifting its focus toward building out its retail media arm, Cartology. What an exciting milestone for LUMO and the out-of-home sector in general. It was a significant collaboration to achieve resource consent approval across six of our Auckland screens. Interesting commentary from Australian experts on the U16 social media ban including our Hypetap MD, Bryce Coombe. He and most commentators in this article agreed the net impact is pretty low (as Hypetap anticipated last year). My takeaway; It's a reminder to agencies and brands that they have a responsibility to move away from the lazy approach of buying eyeballs on mass and instead focus your efforts to be targeted, answering consumer intent and need-states.
