1966 🏆 2026 We’re celebrating 60 years since MINI dominated MT Panorama. Australia’s great race looked a little different in 1966, with MINI taking out the first 9 places of the Gallaher 500 and Mini Cooper S driver’s Bob Holden/Rauno Aaltonen conquering the mountain. Last weekend, MINI returned to Bathurst to celebrate this iconic win. The MINI family along with 20 of our closest friends from the NSW MINI Car Club were back on track, parading around the mountain once more at the 2026 Bathurst 12 Hour. Lead by a 1966 classic Cooper S and MINI JCW wrapped with the 1966 livery, racing DNA still runs through our veins 60 years later, with our current MINI JCW leading the charge across the mountain for the modern era, while the rest of our JCW range was on display over the weekend. You can see history at the National Motor Racing Museum where the 1966 Mini Cooper S calls home, and you can feel that same racing spirit and DNA live on in our current generation models.
