Senator Barrister Stephen Odey Ph D Meets With Students

Distinguished Senator Dr. Stephen Adi Odey Esq, Executive Chairman Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB) meets Yache Students at his Okuku residence.
In the interactive session with the Students, Senator Odey charged them to be worthy ambassadors. That they should be committed to academics, good morals which is the Hallmark of good Character and upholding the virtue of humility as these are preparatory and foundation for good leadership development. Continuing Senator Odey, discouraged the future leaders from all forms of distractions associated with youthfulness, such as cultism and other related vices.
Senator Dr. Barr. Stephen Adi Odey further informed the Yache Students without Permanent Voters Card(PVC) to go for the Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) exercise and should always come home during elections to actively participate, that in so doing they get involved and prepared for leadership to take over the baton and the mantle of leadership tomorrow, because democracy is participatory.
Recounting the numerous benefits Yache Nation have derived from the magnanimity of our Digital State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Prof Sir Benedict Ayade ‘s led administration, a Yache son became a Senator, Yache son made Vice Chancellor UNICROSS, produced a Yache son as Justice of the High Court, etc. Human capital and infrastructural developments are littered everywhere as evidence of Ayade’s benevolence to the people, hence we will all support our GOVERNOR to produce his successor and wherever His Excellency gives direction we will all follow as a united people with good consciences, because more dividends of democracy will acrue be it youth employment, Senator Odey concluded.
Yala Local Government Area Council Secretary, Hon Idiku David also encouraged the Students to be attending Yache Political Meetings and show commitment to Yache course, while Chairman, Cross River State Privatization Council, Hon John Monday Odo thanks Distinguished Senator Dr. Odey, for good mentorship of these students who are promising leaders today and tomorrow.
On behalf of the Yache students, Sammy Ife thanks Distinguished Senator Odey who has always been a youths-friendly and uncommon exemplary leader, for creating this enabling platform to meet with students. The Executive Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board (CR-SUBEB) – Distinguished Senator Stephen Adi Odey facilitates with all sincere Muslims celebrating the end of a successful month of fasting -Ramadan.
Senator Odey, in a statement made available to his Media team urged Muslims to emulate the good virtues of Prophet Mohammed which is centered on peace, love, kindness and steadfastness. He enjoined them to imbibe the culture of tolerance and forgiveness which are the fulcrum of mutual coexistence in a country like ours.
He further prayed the Most Magnificent shower of blessings on our homes and save our nation from the pangs of all forms of insecurity.
Continuing, the CR-SUBEB boss said: “Giving thanks to God is a great virtue, an act of gratitude which should continually be practiced to make the society a better place.
