I guessed that by my birthday (March 27) when he was 15 months, that he would actually walk and give up crawling all together. Well, I was off by a week. On Conference weekend we went to Daffin park in between sessions to get our wiggles out and he was walking all over the place. This is such a big milestone and really seals the deal that he's a full blown toddler and no longer a baby :(
Right after my birthday was when I decided to attend a Leadership Training called Go Global in Austin. At the time, I was nursing Zeke (15 mos) 3 times (sometimes 4) a day. He had been doing ok drinking milk out of a cup. Half the time really drinking and the other half just taking tiny sips. Since I was going to be gone for 3 nights I decided I was going to drop down to nursing just 2 times instead of 3. Nursing morning and night and giving him a cup of milk for naps. Well, my body didn't really like that. It seems like 3 is the magic number for my body. I remember when I went down from 2 to 3 with Vince my body kind of freaked out. My metabolism slows and my hormones feel out of whack. There was some of that, but I actually started getting mastitis for the 2nd time which freaked me out. So, the day before Conference and that Sat I slept a lot and got started on antibiotics. Gratefully, I caught it in time and it didn't escalate to the burning fire sensation I had with Vince that made me faint and have a seizure.
