Been a while

Wow its been forever since I blogged. Well I can start off with Ryker, he is growing like a weed its so crazy that he is one! Where did the time go? He is so fun. I love being his mom he does the funniest things.

Things he likes to do:

climb on the couch and read books or run all over it like he owns it, get inside his toy box to sit and play, walking the dog around or tease him with toys and food, climb on his car and act like he is surfing, he loves giving kisses he even tries to kiss the dog... He loves to read books he will even lay down on his tummy and flip through the pages I love how much he loves to read/ look at books, he loves going to park to swing I hate that the weather is getting so cold cause he wants to play outside all the time. He has been teething for quite some time now and

oh boy its been a joy. Every week is so different some weeks he is so happy and takes his naps like he is supposed to and others like this week he is not taking his afternoon nap and is so unhappy i feel so bad. I hope its just the teething and not him trying to give up a nap im not ready for that. I also gave Ryker his first haircut and he did such a great job it was so cute.

As for me I have gone back to work and its been so nice to get away for a few hours. I really miss doing hair and am grateful to have the opportunity to work again. Brian has been home more often with his new job that he has and its been so nice to spend

time with him, even though he is in the transition of a new job hopefully. We got our family

Brians birthday is this week and we are going to do a session at the salt lake temple with my friend melissa and her husband were so excited to go and grateful brians mom is watching ryker for us. Its so nice to be able to go to the temple when we were in cleveland we werent able to go cause we didnt have a sitter so we take any chance we get. Life is great and we are so blessed I feel like I take my life for granted sometimes but i truly am grateful I have the most amazing husband and beautiful baby.

Things I love to do!!!

We took Ryker to his 9 month appointment today and he is growing like a weed and has thinned out he weighed 20 lbs and is 30 in. tall. He is so active its crazy he can pretty much do anything and if he shouldn't he will..... He is so funny lately he loves to pinch and these arent little baby pinches he full on gets skin and doesn't let go. He thinks it s the funnest thing to do, I sometimes get mad, smack his hand and say NO but of course he laughs even harder then comes back and pinches again. If he cant get something he wants he throws a tantrum its so wonderful!!! His favorite place to go is the bathroom he always checks to see if one time i forget to close it and of course sometimes I do so as soon as he notices he darts for it looks back to make sure im not coming and takes off. He loves going on walks we go pretty much every day. We havent gone to the pool yet cause I noticed that there were bugs in it which grossed me out plus the weather keeps changing so hopefully soon. He loves to get under

everything his crib, the coffee table and end table. He smacks his head multiple times but he doesnt seem to care. He learns something new each day.

He loves playing on this box he stands, sits and climbs all over it!


He loves to scrunch his face and breath in and out really fast its super funny.

First step

Well Ryker has been getting more and more confident in letting go of things to stand on his own he gets so excited most of the time he gets a little too excited and falls over but today I stood him up and as he was balancing he took a step toward me it was so cute and such a special moment, of course he fell as soon as he realized what he did. Im so grateful I get to see him do his firsts. He has started to balance really well by himself i know it wont be too long before he is walking. I have tried to get a video of him again but I am unsuccessful but I will keep trying and hopefully post a video soon.

Some more pics of Ryker he is having so much fun!!! Well he has a been quite fussy lately 2 more teeth just came through so now he has 8 which is not a good thing cause he loves to bite! He bit his own arm and had teeth marks but he didnt even cry.
I put his sandals on and at first he wouldnt stand up cause he wouldnt stop looking at them. Now he can stand up to anything he loves watching baby einstein standing up to the table he even tries letting go to see how long he can balance which isnt long but at least he is trying. I think he will be walking in a month or so he holds on the bars and walks to me already.

This is him hiding under the table playing with the cords. At first I couldnt find him. I swear he can get any cord he sees even when I think its hidden he is such a little turd.

Well these are just a few pics of the funny things Ryker has been doing lately. He loves to pull himself up to stand especially in his crib he thinks its the greatest thing ever. So sleeping has been a challenge. This first picture is how i found him after i layed him down to take a nap he was stuck!!!! He is such a funny kid. I love him so much.

Well Its been a crazy few weeks. We successfully moved out of our Condo in Orem which is kinda bittersweet. We will miss our ward a lot. We really enjoyed it there and our Bishop was awesome, but we are excited for a family ward.

Here is a picture of Ryker outside with grandma he was watching her do yard work we had to put him in the stroller cause he loves to pull out the grass and eat it. We had a great week staying at her house she helped out so much with Ryker. We were able to go to a movie and go to the Temple which was so nice. There are a few pics of us on our trip in San Diego which was super fun. We stayed right on the beach, the weather wasnt the best but it was still nice to get away. We also went to the zoo which was fun its a way better zoo than Utah thats for sure. Ryker didnt seem too interested unless the animals made noise, he just enjoyed being outside. On Sunday we drove to the Temple which is amazing. That Temple is so beautiful. Then our final destination was driving 30 hours to Cleveland. That was the longest most boring drive ever. There is corn fields the whole entire way pretty much. The weather was 100 degrees it was so hot. Ryker of course did an amazing job in the car he didnt get fussy until until the second morning he woke up still in his car seat wondering what the heck was going on. I dont look forward to that drive in 3 months, we are definitely staying the night somewhere one of the nights cause this trip we only stopped for 2 hrs to sleep. The apartments are pretty nice here as for the weather its crazy, its really hot in the mornings then by 1 or so its pouring rain. The thunder and lightning is sooo loud. It scared the crap out of us. Brians first day of work was yesterday. It rained on them the whole time. One of the house he was at they were outside talking to some lady when they heard a big crack of lightning so the one guy pushed the lady inside but brian was further back when lighting struck the tree in the back yard it was so close that brian fell down it was so loud that his ears were ringing, they thought he had gotten struck which Im so grateful he didnt. The dog that was outside tied to a tree was on the ground like seizing or something. He said it was crazy! What a great way to start off the summer!!

Wow its been a while since I have written anything so I have a bit to talk about. Well first off life has had its ups and downs for the past few months, I never thought a trial could last as long as it has for us but I do know that continuing to have faith each day has helped us through it. Im so grateful for the strength my husband has when we are faced with trials. He is so amazing. Ryker is 6 months now and time has flown by he is so amazing, he brings so much joy and love into our lives. We have been waiting for our temple clearance for 6 months and its been tough, knowing that the two most amazing people in my life aren't mine for eternity has been hard. But believe it or not Feb 13 our letter came and what a relief. So we got sealed in the Salt Lake Temple Feb 26 and it was the most amazing experience in my life our precious baby all dressed in white just smiling like he always does enters the room, I cant even begin to explain the feelings that were felt ( but im tearing up right now talking about it so as you can imagine is was amazing.) That was such a happy day and im so grateful for my friends and family who supported us. Life has changed since that day our family is filled with so much love and appreciation. There is a special bond that happened in our life having this amazing experience.

I have also been doing family history and brian and i were able to go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead for our family it was such a great experience, especially for brian he never has done it before so he loved it and wouldnt get out of the water :) .

Well Ryker is always lauging, and having such a great time he loves to eat and loves all his fruits and veggies im so proud of him. He is a little terror though and gets into everything possible, and he isnt even crawling but he finds a way, the little stinker. I love him so much and have such a great time taking care of him.
