Joy

Tonight we had family home evening. A night early because I travel this week. We had a lesson about Joy. "We all go through different life experiences. Some are filled with joy, and others with sorrow and uncertainty. . . We each listed three things that make us happy, here were the results:

The kids laughed histerically when I said exercise makes me happy. They thought I had lost my mind. I thought about making something else up here but decided not to. Brock's watching Star Wars was a little perplexing especially since he has never watched it at home - must be at a friends house? When I think of the things that bring me the most joy it always involves family and friends and the time we spend together. Charmayne and I are happy that the kids recognize being home and being together are the things that bring them the most joy.



The kids have also found joy in my Grandpa Jones' pick-up. They have spent every minute outside this weekend inside it. I've thought several times about trading my Camry in for a truck but I have a feeling the novelty would wear off. So for now we will continue to borrow Grandpa's when we need it.
