Jaxson Tuttle Age 10

He is #54 hitting the adult on the field :)

Ten years ago today, I remember having been on bed rest for two months with Toxemia, had gone in three times that week to labor and delivery with pains, and was puking in the toilet when my mom walked in and found me and said "that's it, we are going back in". I also was living with my parents at the time since Troy worked and I couldn't move. We went back in just before midnight on the 30th and they said that I had gone into HELP syndrome and the only way to cure it was to get the baby out. I was 33 and some change weeks and new this probably wasn't good. They started me on pitocin and MAG which if anyone has ever had MAG it sucks...they give it to you to make sure you don't have a stroke while delivering since my blood pressure the last time they took it was like 182/105. 14 hours later I inherited my mom’s great birthing genes and hadn't even dilated to a 1 so on the operating room we went. Just after 1PM they brought our beautiful baby boy into this world weighing in at 4 lbs. He wasn't crying but was semi alert. In and out of consciousness I could hear whispering and didn't really know what was going on. When I was all stitched up and back in the room, it was just my dad, my brother and Wayne and I heard him talking to my brother saying it wasn't good. Well, a day later and I finally am coherent enough to understand what the nurses are telling me and I still haven't held my little boy. With him being so early he was in the NICU, having a hard time breathing so he was on oxygen, he also couldn't maintain his own body heat so he was in an incubator, he couldn't breathe and eat at the same time so he had a tube down his throat, and he had Jondus so the incubator had lights in it. They told me he would be in the NICU for a while and that I could go in and see him once I was able to get up and moving around. So I think it was almost 24 + hrs before I saw him. When I did see him I knew this kid would be a fighter... and he was! After three and half weeks Jaxson was able to come home with us but his fight wasn't over yet.
