Semper Fi

I’m cleaning it up and making sure it’s beautiful and re-posting it just because you are all awesome.

This was originally an I Write the Song Contest Entry based on a song by Trace Adkins – Semper Fi.  As the story progressed – it took on a life of it’s own.

For those who have been following me for a while know that my 18 year old son was planning on joining the Marines after High School.  He made this decision a year after I started writing this story.

Well, a torn PCL has changed that for him.  He is now going to attend college on a Lacrosse and Nursing scholarship(s) planning on joining the Naval Medical Core after graduation.  I think serving is in his blood.
