The Walk

So I thought that it would be a good idea to walk to Kelly's house since it was such a nice day and I figured we could all use the exercise. Both of the boys decided they wanted to ride their scooters I wasn't that worried about Jaxson but I was not sure if Carter could make it but I figured we would give it a try. We didn't get far before I turned around and noticed Carter is stopped and getting into the backpack on the scooter when he looked up I could have died it was the funniest thing I have ever seen. He was so serious so I tried not to laugh but as you can see below the whole thing looks pretty fun.



We only made it half way to Kelly's house when Jaxson turned to me and said I thought this was going to be fun but it's not. So I guess the walk was not a total hit maybe we should have just walked around the block and then worked our way up to walking to Kelly's house.

North Carolina

So Chris turned 30 on the 23rd of May so Payton and I flew out to surprise him. I was actually pretty proud of myself because we were able to pull it off without him knowing. It was fun being with him on his birthday and it was also nice to only have one child for awhile I forgot what that was like. Gretchen and Chris mom drove down for his birthday and we got to spend some time with them which was fun. Chris, Madison and Payton were the only ones brave enough to get in the pool but Payton preferred to just dip her feet in the water she was not that thrilled when we actually put her in. It was fun seeing everyone and for once leaving was not that hard since I knew that Chris was finally coming home and this time not just to visit but to stay.

Fun in the Backyard

So it has finally warmed up around here and the kids are having so much fun playing outside. My mom bought them a trampoline and a pool and they are loving life. They had so much fun on the trampoline and they thought it was great when Emily sprayed it down with water while they jumped. Then they all laid down on the trampoline and looked at the clouds it was so cute listening to them say what each of the clouds looked like. I am so glad the weather is finally changing and the kids can go out side again.

E.T.

My mom recorded E.T. off the T.V. for the kids to watch and I had the best time watching Jaxson he did not move the entire time. I think that he enjoyed the movie but I think that there were some parts that scared him a little bit. Carter on the other hand watched the beginning of the movie and said it was to scary and wanted nothing more to do with it.



Emily was also enjoying the movie with Jaxson and he enjoyed the company. It has been so great having Emily here while Chris has been gone the kids love her and I love having an adult to talk to at night.

Water Fun

For Payton's birthday my parents got her a water table and it is a hit with all the kids. They played with it forever which was a nice little break for me and the best part was instead of fighting with each other they were actually laughing and having fun together.

Sunny Days in California

These are the last of the pictures from the California trip. The kids had fun playing with their cousins J.T., Kalyee and the newest addition Kolter. Jaxson and Carter loved holding Kolter and Carter even made him a special bed out pillows. It was warm the whole time we were there and the kids loved being able to play in the backyard even Payton enjoyed herself. Jaxson was enjoying being able to eat ice cream cones all the time and they all enjoyed a dip in the pool. It was a great trip and everyone had lots of fun and we can't wait to go back again.

Six Flags Animal Kingdom

While we were in California everyone went to Six Flags Animal Kingdom. The kids had a blast and the best part was Chris was there to join in the fun. The boys loved all the rides especially Jaxson he was the King of roller coasters. Payton of course wanted nothing to do with the characters or the rides but she did warm up to the carousel eventually. There were also animal shows there which are perfect for the boys they got to see sharks, a killer whale, pet the sea rays, and watch the seal show so it was a perfect day in Jaxson and Carters eyes. It was fun to see all the kids, parents and grandparents have so much fun we should definitely do it again soon plus it was great to have Chris with us the boys loved riding all the rides with him. Chris and Jaxson even got to sneak away and ride the Cobra (a bigger roller coaster) Jaxson can't stop talking about it he had so much fun with his dad.

Happy Birthday Payton!

Today Payton turned 1 I can't believe how fast it went. We were in California for Kolter's baby blessing so we celebrated her birthday with my family. She had a lot of fun ripping the paper off the presents and she enjoyed the cupcake. She had frosting all the way down to her elbows and she thought it was pretty fun to put as much cake as possible in her mouth at one time. She got lots of fun presents but she has enjoyed the stroller Aunt Kelly got her and her Snugglekins Cheetah from Mom and Dad the most so far but we had to leave some of the toys in boxes so I am sure she is going to enjoy all the presents once she can play with them.
